Thank you for the updates, John and Vinny. Like everyone else, I felt a great weight on my heart when I read the word "hospice."

Back from the Void9 Rally late last night and stumbled on this thread while catching up online. Sad news indeed.

I echo all the sentiments of Bob's multitude of friends and will add him into my daily prayers. I'm praying for recovery first and foremost.

I'll also add my thanks to Vinny and John for being our liaisons and keeping us as informed as they can.

OK...everybody listen up. I talked to Bob's son Tony just a few minutes ago and here's the scoop.

Bob will be going home later today or early tomorrow and will receive his hospice care at home. His sisters will be there caring for him.

If you plan on visiting Bob....Tony's words...."you had better make it quick". They are not expecting this to last very much longer.

Here is Bob's address: Bob Donaldson, 9634 Ethridge Lane, Ooltewah, Tn. 37363

Tony also said, "that as of now, they are planning on spreading Bob's ashes, where is wife is, in Florida....sometime next spring, and they will try to make it so anyone who wishes can be there".

So...there you have it. I sure wish I wasn't the one having to pass this depressing information on.

The phone call I got didn't give any more hope that the call John got, i will be leaving in the morning for Ooltewah!!!

I keep putting my hands on the keyboard but I can't seem to type anything of any value or say anything that hasn't already been said. I'm numb.

I am glad he is getting to spend his final days at home.

I only met Bob once, but I can remember thinking to myself "I want to be like that guy". Such sad news about a guy that has touched so many people. I'm praying his final days will be peaceful.

I just feel so hollow and empty inside, Bob is such a great guy. Definitely not the news I was wanting to hear. Prayers continue for Bob and his family.

Thanks, John for the update... saved me from doing the deed. Heard this from Bob's daughter-in-law on my way home today. Planning on another visit very soon. Life is short... Live, Laugh, Love all you can... and praise God for every minute you get to spend on earth. Bob will be in our prayers.

I type aimlessly with the eyes filled in tears and a very heavy heart. I'm glad that Bob is able to go home for his final days. Only wished I could go there for a visit and wished we all could do more. Bob, we wish you well, my friend. May the hand of the Lord be upon on you during this time and give you comfort and peace.

I am saddened to hear this, I am glad he was able to make it to Dinkie', I know that meant a bunch to him to be there, and the others that were there too, as he would not miss an event and an excuse to ride, anywhere, anytime. God Speed BDonald, (Bob) Prayers sent to you and your family

I just returned form a quick trip to Roy Utah this weekend, get on the forum for really the first time since Thursday and see this!...
Wow, words can't express how much this hurts to hear!
Prayers go out to Bob, his family and friends!
He is such a neat guy!

I am with Mike. It is so hard to know what to type. I have only known Bob for a couple of years, but I somehow knew instantly what kind of person he is. I wish I could do or say something that would help, but I can only keep Bob and his family in my thoughts and prayers.
