Mr. Donaldson - R.I.P. 10/15/2014

Remembering Bob Donaldson this Christmas... Was able to recover the other pictures of the bricks and the campground that were on my tablet I broke during the trip to FL-SToc.WIN_20151112_07_41_49_Pro.jpgWIN_20151111_17_45_15_Pro.jpgWIN_20151112_08_34_03_Pro.jpgWIN_20151112_08_34_18_Pro.jpg

Received the phone call I've been waiting for... Bob's bricks are finally set at the Veterans Memorial Park! Now I have to get myself down there and take the pictures. Thanks again for all who contributed.

Thanks Tom. You're a special guy yourself...

Ten years ago today our riding family lost a great man. So many have passed since then. I'm going to lift a glass in Bob's honor and toast all of our friends that have passed. May they all be riding and laughing together.

I noticed the date when I put on my ST hat this week. I still have the hat with the memorial patch sewed on. It’s hard to believe it’s been 10 years.

It was sure interesting to sit at a camp site and talk to Bob about all he had done. Both about his riding and his military past.

I guess i didn't follow this thread years ago and I didn't know about the bricks at the Veteran's Memorial Park in Apalachicola, Florida. But now I do have somewhere to ride to later this year. Pics will be coming.

I do ride to Port St. Joe sometimes and I look across the bay and think about where Bob and his wife's ashes were scattered over at the park.

I just looked on the G map thing and it looks like the water pass created by Hurricane Micheal in 2018 has now filled in and the road is open to the campground again. Another ride destination.
