Itchy Boots

Dramatic, sometimes kind of foreboding, music today. There was her typical “triumphal” style music at the end though.

I really like the way she uses music in her vids. Aside from her theme I don't recall every hearing the same piece twice. Love the drone footage and I really want to see more of it.

For all you drone flyers out there, how the heck does she always have the camera pointed in just the right direction while riding?

I have no idea about her drone but some drones have the ability to follow a selected target.

Some drones do have various levels of autonomous "follow me" features and can be literally fly circles around a subject while keeping it/them the center of focus.

I don't know if her current drone has any of that capability but she's definitely using FPV (first person view) flight control by looking as the screen on her phone to see what the drone is seeing. She's so smooth it looks like it's on its own. I always look forward to seeing the drone footage.

I guess it is only a matter of time before we see her film her own accident, there are legitimate reasons for distracted driver laws.

I forget which day it was but I could actually see her head bobbing back and forth between the road and what I assume was her phone, about where the back of the tank is.

Noraly is generally riding slowly and flies the drone in a constant direction so that she can keep the bike in the frame. She has said that she does not use the “follow me” mode provided by DJI. I have tried it with my Mavic Pro and did not find it worked very well.

I have never seen another vehicle in any of the drone riding shots so I believe she is very careful to pick a “safe” location.

For her videos on this trip, Noraly has at least two GoPro Hero8 cameras, a GoPro Max, and her DJI Mavic Air drone. I would estimate that she produces about at least four hours of video a day from these cameras which she edits down to a 17.5 minute video episode.

After the Itchy Boots season 2, Noraly said that she generally did not want to include the “bad” or “negative” scenes in her daily episodes as those would become the focus for the viewers rather than the upbeat, happy drama we all enjoy.

In one Q&A, Noraly did admit to crashing her drone on more than one occasion. In Season 2, she “lost” the controller and had to order a replacement.

Yes. Looking at a phone to fly a drone and keep it pointed in the right direction? Sheesh. And often while on bad or barely existent roads. Really hope her good luck continues.
