Where did you ride today?

Took ferry from Seattle to Bremerton, then around Hood Canal and finally ferry back to Seattle from Bainbridge. 130 miles of excellent roads. Saw a Harley that had come off the road near Brinnon - not sure about the driver, but lots of police. I initially thought those flashing lights meant a performance award for me, but fortunately the police car flew past me...

In Union Marina I had the most overpriced breakfast I have ever seen: two slices of bacon (called slabs), one piece of toast with an egg in the middle, and one ear of corn: $30! I left very hungry and not a happy camper.

We should get together sometime. :) I live up north of Seattle.

My wife and I have walked out of one or two restaurants in the past when we looked at the prices on the menu.

Don't get me started on the ongoing escalation of food prices. :old1:
I continually walk out of overpriced restaurants.
Ask myself, what was I thinking, as I go and find a Subway or some other such fast food place.

Damn!

So last weekend was suppose to be an IBA weekend 2048 miles but God had other plans.
The weather was prefect except the last 50 miles it was raining. However
The last 5 miles it was snowing and 29 degrees for 24 hours
steep twisty mountain road and black ice just waiting for me.
So, after trying many other options to make it work, I sadly just drove the truck to be safe...
I did have a great time anyway....

Just back from a really long ride to Vegas and back. From OKC, I camped at Rita Blanca National Grassland TX (free), El Aguaje (pronounced El a-wah-hey)Campground NM $7.00, and Homol'ovi State Park AZ ($18.00). El Aguaje compround in NM is spectacular and was my favorite spot. It's above 7k feet, north of the Taos Ski Valley area. Hiking and river is amazing.
After 3 days in Vegas, tired, I took the 'direct' route home. My '07 performed flawlessly.

I was the only camper at Rita Blanca Grassland, in TX just south of the OK panhandle. Some kids were about to leave when I arrived and left me six cans of beer ;)
El Aguaje, in the NM mountains, offers spectacular hiking and a steep walk to the river far below in a canyon.
I didn't get around much in Homol'ovi (was tired) but the $18 camping fee is surely justified by hot showers on site.

Nice welcome gift at Rita Blanca of the 6 can of beer. Were they cold? :wine1:

Just got back from a 225 mile local ride, the temperature was 92 when I left the house and I hit 104 in the Santa Ynez Valley. It did cool of by the coast at Gaviota to 73 and then back up to 104, it was 87 when I got home.

I did the one crooked road in the area. It was a blessing, I finally had a tail wind. You people in Liberal, Kansas need to shut the door. All that 20/25 mph stuff out of the north is getting tiring. If this keeps up I'll have some hellacious neck muscles.

So you got lost on the I-27 HWY 289 cloverleaf's again??

I got in a 35 mile ride to check out the new BT45 that I put on today. Stopped to get a pic of the mileage. 10k in 13 months. I know.....pathetic.

Did a 55 mile gas (90 octane ethanol free) run this evening. The ST impresses me every time I mount it. WOW!

It is complicated! Nothing as hard to understand as Prince Street where you got lost. Lucky for you the sandwich shop was open.
Lucky you, as the Prince street roundabout just takes you in a small small circle and the view is certainly nothing special after the fourth or fifth time around!!

I saw a funny sign while riding in Belgium today... I guess that most GPS mapping systems have an error present that has been routing traffic down this dead-end street, so, the village put up a "NO GPS" sign.
