Where did you ride today?

The Dos Equis is still one of Honda's best looking bikes of all time, with performance to match.
And of course, you know me, so you know i can say that with no bias whatsoever.
But i don't get that yellow polypropylene rope holding it up in your garage... is the sidestand not working...?
For sure. It's a "look back" bike. You can't help but look back at it as you walk away. Chrome wheels really take it up a level, too. I'm glad mine is silver. I heard that's the fastest one.)

I probably did that a lot.
I truly liked the blacked out look, with the exception of the chromed mufflers.
It was subtle and stealthy, reaching supra-legal speeds without a lot of noise or fuss, so I preferred it stock. Black wheels for me, thank you.
I wish I could find that dealer poster of the Blackbird with the SR-71 stealth bomber in the background.

I had a pretty gruelling ride yesterday. 530 mile round trip from the south east of England to Preston, Lancashire and back. Pouring with rain when I set out at 07.30 and 5 degrees C. Rain continued for the first 150 miles, most of which was on motorways with heavy traffic and resultant spray adding to the fun. The sun came out around Stoke on Trent but did nothing for the temperature which dropped to 3 degrees C. Thank goodness for my Gerbing heated jacket liner and trousers!!
Stayed dry the rest of the way and for the return, not pleasant but, hey, it's what I get paid for!!
Thank you ST1100TX for telling us about your ride in 80 degrees F, I'm not jealous, really!

I've already been punished. It's only going to get up to 56f today and mid-60's the rest of the week. Brutal.

I've had some challenging rides, but none like yours. I was miserable just reading about it.
 
I did not mean to hit "reply" but the forum software keeps thinking I did, and pops up a new reply box every time I view this thread... annoying as hell....

so now I'm using that space to "reply"
with this absolutely worthless nonsense post that will hopefully satisfy the computer and make it stop bugging me.
 
A nice day for an after Thanksgiving ride around Santa Barbara County today, I tried going to Solvang but the traffic was a mess so I made a u-turn and went over Tepusquet Canyon Road in both directions. 115 miles temps 70 for the high.

I did this after my morning 9 mile hike and then putting up the Christmas lights and other decorations.

I might try riding on the snow with a 250 cc dirtbike but not a 500 pound twin cylinder adventure bike.
If that thing slides out from under you and drops you on one of your sides, I see a broken leg hip and shoulder in your future.

(I had my front tire slide out from under me at 10 miles an hour on a gravel driveway one time, and while I was able to get out from under the bike solo and pick it up fairly easily, I walked with a limp for four months afterward. That was on my 600-lb. Honda Shadow 1100 A.C.E., which unfortunately did not have any crash bars / hwy bars or engine guards.
