Where did you ride today?

After riding for a while today I decided to take a break.....while sitting on a park bench looking at all the pretty girls walk by I felt an elbow jab on my ribs....."Hi Mr. Reaper!".....He said "You can call me Grimm....you're wife told me to do that!".....I said " I'm married but I'm not dead yet!.....He said "I know...that's the problem!......"I know trying to keep up to fellow riders will kill me some day" I said. He said "No. You ride so slow that Amish buggys will rear end you some day, I could have taken you many times already because of that, but the problem is because you have so many questions and bad jokes for Satan and God that neither Heaven nor Hell wants you!!" I'm going riding again..... Russ.

Rode from the Seattle BMW dealer to Lake Sammamish State Park and then back, circling the lake. No pics. It was an event sponsored by the dealer to get people there and excitement going.

My first impression was that the event was a goat rope, but it was more like a train wreck waiting to happen once we left. I estimate there were probably 50 riders, most of who didn't know each other. The directions were to ride safe and the halfway point is the park. If you get split from the group, just head there or back to the dealership. If you get in an accident, break down or whatever, it seems you were on your own.

I ended up in a group of four at the tail end. The other three riders had no idea where they were at one point, so I ended up leading this motley crew back to the dealership.

The hamburgers were good. I'll go anywhere for a free meal. :D

Took a run out to Beachlands where i grew up. Was semi rural back then but more developed now and less recognisable.

Parents there from 79 to 2010, both grandparents had holiday homes from late 40s to 80s, one great grandparent had a section for camping in the 30s.

So much change i always feel jumbled with the memory and new reality which is why i go back infrequently, better the memory than new reality.

Rode out to Clear Lake after church. The HD riders especially were out like a spring hatch on the lake. Temp above 50F? Yes! No rain in the forecast? Yes!! I kind of chuckle at them, being a year long rider myself, but I suppose if I had that much chrome to polish, I'd keep it parked as well.

This doesn't look like a "gulp" moment because of the camera detail.

But if you look at it blown up you can see it better.

He's in my lane and coming fast...and out of control. Believe me, from my perspective on the bike, he looked much larger. :eek-2x:

I didn't take too many pics at Clear Lake. Only one was really worth posting. But it was a good pleasant day to get out and about.
