Where did you ride today?

Weather forecast was for rain all day today. It was dry this morning so I decided to give t a try. Rode about 80 miles chasing blue holes in the clouds. Turned out to be a nice morning's ride. Pouring rain now.

Bike looks good, reminds me of my 81 Silverwing . How is the handle bars for vibration?

Taco Tuesday! but no taco's yet today. I did a little group of 2 riding this morning and then I split off and rode up Georgia ways. It was a great day for the last day of the year. 53 to 77 degrees. I even found a tiny cloud that just couldn't hold all of it's raindrops. 10 seconds of rain from a wisp of a cloud.???

I had to ride a bit today to hit the 52000 mile mark for the year, 510 miles today and it felt good to be out riding.

Happy New years to all.

:usflag1: :wine2:

I rode to a ST 1300 mechanic's home workshop where he took a quick look at the bike & decided oil changing and other fluid maintenance were the least of my worries. Repairing crash damage and broken and loose parts (not just Tupperware but frame parts & structural components ) from a prior owners' accident was top the priority.
Emergency surgery was called for.
It seems like I’ve seen a lot of those parts on the shelf somewhere before :rofl1:

Don’t know how I’m still alive today after riding up frog mountain with no ABS, no traction control, and only clad in jeans and a T-shirt, and my then came Bronson knit cap.
Beautiful weather for January.

WTH no sunglasses?

This is as close to all of the fires down South as I want to be, you can see the smoke over the Channel Islands. Very sad all of the destruction and loss of life's.

I road my local ride to Santa Barbara, 100 miles with temps from 72 when I left my house to a high of 77 near Cachuma Lake.

Due to the warm weather in Southern Utah, I decided (and since the wife is gone for the rest of the week) I needed to get out and do a ride. I at first had a 250 miles ride planned, but decided to cut it short, so I only did 217 miles. But what a GREAT 217 miles, well some were! LOL

The big deal of it all was that I was able to ride up the ZION Canyon Road. That road is not open during the Spring to Fall months, except by one of their shuttles. But right now it is open to motor vehicles! What a great ride that road is.

Every where you look, it is straight up!

Ride thru ZION Canyon Road.

Besides ZION, I also rode the ST George Southern Parkway (which was the second part of my ride. The first being, riding from Cedar City, for 55 miles).

When I left Cedar City, after returning a book for Chris at the book store, it was 36F. By the time I got down to St George/Zion, it had climbed to 57F. As I rode thru to the East Gate of ZION, the temps dropped to 44F. And then back up to 55F as I dropped back down in elevation leaving the park.

I left Cedar around 11:30AM and returned home, after gassing up, right at 5PM.

Great fun ride! :hat3:

I rode 50 miles, all local: my town, the next big town north of me, and passing thru a couple small little villages along the way. Got snapshots of my bike next to a couple of unusual things -- two 15 foot long pink panther sculptures,
and early 1950s Case farm tractor.
