Where did you ride today?

Probably one of the most important trips I'll make on a bike of any kind; I knew since I waited until the last day that the line would be long, and the parking lot would be just packed. I was in and out in under three minutes.

Found a deal on Craigslist for some fish for a couple of my aquariums. About 25 miles each way, into the hinterlands of West Linn Oregon; but the fish were $1.00 each, and besides, it was an excuse for a ride...
Some great scenery along the way too...
Got a call from the wife while on the freeway over the Willamette River (Pronounced Will-Am-Et) that I needed to stop and get an onion...
The Cardo Packtalk Bold came through perfectly clear, even at 60+ MPH and the dire need to raise the screen a tad...

Great. Packed in a large bag of water with oxygen, and placed in a cooler I have just for fish that fits the trunk. It was in the high 80's when I got home, the water was still at the tank temperature...
 
Last past day of FerrySTOC ride for me today? I rode up to a Ferry I've been eyeing for several years. I traveled across the ALABAMA! river on the Gee's Bend Ferry. I chartered the entire ship for $2.00. Pretty good deal for a 17 minute ride on the river.

Congrats on the great find! I bought a 2010 with 12000 miles last year. Thoroughly enjoying it and ride it more than my VTX 1300 cruiser. One big differenec for me was to swap all halogens to LEDs esp. since I drive in wooded areas. Made a huge diff. Also put on new michelins couple of months ago and the ride is much better.
 
I'm glad the Holiday traffic was over today so I went for a good long ride. One of my favorite subjects to look for and make a picture is "Plane on a Pole". Static displays of aircraft.

A little variation here. I made a route this morning of the whirlybirds on poles that I knew of and off I went. 487 miles later I'm back home!

First stop Tallahassee Fl.

Then up on the route to Dothan ALABAMA at the roadside park entering into BAMA.

I guess you see someone stole the chopper! There used to be one there.

Headed west to Geneva.

On down the 2 lanes brought me to Opp City airport entrance.

Back into Florida and I guess this is still a chopper.

And on to the home stretch the Veterans park in Pensacola still has the flags up. What a good ride today.
