What did you do with your ST1100/ST1300 today?

I went and stood in line for my title and license plate for the bike! I hoped to ride afterwards but work interfered.:mad: Will try tomorrow.

I'm not a joiner, never served, but this is about showing respect. Be prepared for the loud pipes crowd. Most are there for the intended purpose....a few are just there to blip the throttle.
IMO.

Thanks, there in a event today in Cincinnati today but I did not make it.
 
I just returned from a multi-hour trip to no place in particular. Just to explore the roads and get more practice as I ease back into motorcycling. This was my first ride in my new motorcycle pants and it was great to have knee and hip protection! After 500 miles in two weeks I am still not sure about the Russell seat that came with the bike. I have always ridden a Corbin and might look for one on the classifieds to try out.
A groundhog ambled across the road right in front of me - I slowed ans said "Hello" and off he went.

New rear pads (removed the wheel to get more access to the pistons for cleaning and see what a shaft drive tire change involves), flushed the front and rear brakes (ABS), lubed the shift linkage. Nothing complicated of course, but it's nice to get a feel for what's under the hood of this bike in the event of roadside troubles. The more I play around with this bike, the more I like it.
 
Today I helped strap it down in a trailer for transport to its new home.

After almost 12 years, my time with motorcycles has come to an end. I will miss it. Enjoy life how you can, where you can.

A great man who's a bit of a legend around these parts said it best:

Took my new (to me) ST1300 out for the first time.
Jumping off the ST1100, it is familiar and different. Nice power and great brakes. Feels a little heavier in the handling department. Ergonomics are nice, especially not banging my knees on the faring! Certainly appreciated the heated seat and the adjustable windshield!6FB6B6D0-F64F-458B-8EF9-333BAEBA4C74.jpeg
 
Hon' on her NT700 and I attended a safety training hosted by the Vienna Motorcycle Police... (they do that on voluntary base in their free time...)
Impressive how agile that big barge ('00 ST1100) scurries between and around the cones... :cool:
Also the brakes still compete more then well with "ze modern bikes"... ;)
GF was brave and did very well on the still new to her NT... in fact she was surprised just how well the Deauville handles in the parcour...

Just as I thought...these tires are excellent. Worth every penny to me. Now...just need to upgrade the forks/rear shock. Any ideas that don't cost an arm and a leg? I've heard Race Tech is the way to go...
 
Got a call on the :WCP1: from a member in Mesa Arizona that was having brake issues....
Jumped on my 07 ST1300 and Rode 300 miles round trip, did a complete brake and clutch system flush & bleed, got everything sorted out nicely, then got to ride home at 5 mph for about 25 miles on a single lane, shut down highway, due to construction work.
Finally made it home a little after midnight.
My left forearm now looks like Popeye from pumping the clutch for so long :rofl1:
Successful day, met another forum member, rescued another ST, and spent several hours on mine :thumb:
 
Yesterday, I topped up fuel (94 octane) added stabilizer , changed out oil and filter and added fresh diff lube. Washed and waxed both the ST and the Guzzi and gave them both a short run before parking and covered both bikes. Plugged in the battery tenders. Today it snowed. Timing is everything and I usually don’t accomplish that so it was a good day ! :thumb:
 
Greetings from Wales, UK everyone! Coming a bit late for what I did today but just want to 'break my duck' and say a big fat hello. HELLO! :cool: Anyways, having just this past weekend fitted a new monoshock, (replacing an OEM 'Pogo Stick, at circa 51,000 Miles) took my precious out for a spin to the boundaries of where I am allowed to travel. Thanks for such a great site, I have popped in and out a few times since signing up and I just love it, absolutely love it. cheers for now,
