What did you do with your ST1100/ST1300 today?

I installed LED turn signal bulbs, tail light bulbs, and a LED flasher yesterday. Seams to be a lot brighter, especially after I cleaned the tail light lens.
What brand and part number for the turn signal and brake? LED flasher as in when you apply the brake it blinks a few times before staying on?

Finally got the new wheels and tires on, after hitting that chunk of concrete at 60+ mph and breaking both of my wheels, and took for a short ride down the street to check the brakes and forks.. all seems fine. Now to gear up and take it for a longer ride and scuff off the tire mold tits off the tire....:bk13:. !!!!!!!!!! T
You didn't spend an hour cutting the little mold tits off the tire before riding it? :scared2:

I let a real live motor bike mechanic do valve clearance check on my 04 ST1300 this week. Was last done at 25000. Now almost 80,000. Surprise.... no shims required, all within spec. I did learn my water pump is leaking into my exhaust. Guy says it a big job. About $600 to replace the ceramic gaskets and repair pump. No panic just a slow seep.

Approximately $143.33 in parts IF the pump is really leaking :well1:
I would be willing to bet a donut that you just have some loose coolant clamps that could be addressed and fix your leak issues.
When the water pumps do fail, you will be able to watch a drop of coolant drip out every second or so like a leaky faucet.
Green stains on the engine, and stuff coming out of the square drain hole are from loose hoses.
:doh1:
Even if it really is a failed mechanical seal in the water pump, you can do it yourself by reading the Articles section, its not that hard.

While that's a great farkle where tolerated by constabulary it more likely an LED flasher module to replace the factory turn signal flasher.

When replacing the incandescent bulbs with LEDs the much lighter current draw results in the turn signals flashing as somewhere 2x the normal rate maybe more. Most refer to this as hyper-flashing signals. Replacing the stocker with one rated for use with LEDs restores the flash rate to normal.

Some riders prefer the faster rate as they feel it's more conspicuous and makes for increased safety. YMMV.

I just brought the post up with the part numbers. St1300 turn signal bulbs. The flasher works the same as the stock one just it's made for led bulbs.

Lowered my 1100 by 1/4" both ends so that I can 'flat foot' when solo. (Most of the time these days.) Hope I can still use the centre stand without blowing a disc. :) Had to remove the rear shock to adjust and remembered to do up the lower bolt first. It's easier to do that end first....

Used my RYOBI battery powered compressor to bring my tires to 42/42psi. Made surprisingly quick work of it and it's quieter than any small HP air compressor I've seen or heard. Really handy. Topped of my car tires while I was at it.

Swapped out my original FOBO Bike TPMS caps for the FOBO BIKE 2 caps. They noticeably smaller than the v.1 kit. At some point I'll get round to installing the T-STems. This FOBO 2 kit includes two short metal valve stems. The first kit didn't. Nice upgrade.

Hope I can still use the centre stand without blowing a disc.
Having only 3 bars on the gas gauge helps me as does 42psi in both tires. I haven't done one up yet but a 1" board can be a big help. Roll the rear tire onto the board and it's much easier to put it on the center stand.

Continuing to clean uparts and pieces on the new to me 2004. New grips, replaced foot peg rubber, new air filter, re over and deep cleaned and polished the windscreen, ran up another little 30 zip to burn some old gas. I’m keeping it local until I get it registered and insured properly.

She’s looking and running very well.

I can vouch for P3s and Photon Blasters from Skene Lights: https://www.skenelights.com/. I've had them on my last 3 bikes and wouldn't ride without them now. The flash pattern on the brake lights is adjustable, they can be linked to the turn signals, they flicker just slightly to make them stand out without being illegal, and the install is relatively easy.

Had a car merge into my lane and took off the left rear fender of a Honda crv, did much more damage to me and my st1300, 06. I can't bear to look how much needs to be replaced yet, But at least I'm still alive, Thank God for that.
