What did you do with your ST1100/ST1300 today?

Just got done with a Stant 13868 thermostat and going out for breakfast while Wisconsin is still warm out.

Ever since Covid 19 hit and they sent us home to work there, all I get to do is to look at it when I go to the garage to get stuff from the freezer! :shrug2:

Chanced a ride to work on a plugged tire (dealing with a slow leak and the FOBO TPMS group buy...) Held up find on the way to work, and thought it would do the same on the way home, but it dumped all the air while in a construction area on the interstate. Pulled off, used my Slime kits to replug and refill (got a bit hot standing still running the RPM high enough to put out charging voltage so I didn't drain the battery though) and went on my merry way.

Not sure I'll try the same thing tomorrow or Sun, we'll see how well it holds tonight and overnight first. Ordering a new tire tonight and will either try to change it myself again (haven't the last couple times) or take it to the shop after work one day next week.

Had a grinding front pad. Pulled the front wheel, cleaned up calipers, new pads and new SMC. Bleed system..... fluid was cloudy. Spongy front lever still. Ran out of time to go through it again, will bleed again in the morning and see if it tightens up. IF not may have to ring the white courtesy phone. Also replaced clutch switch.

Oil change tomorrow after brakes are sorted and clean it up as well.

Next weekend air filter..... has over 3/4 tank currently.

Nothing to my ST but on a very slightly somewhat related note– since I have Evitek G6s in the bike I decided to order some for my car. I noticed of late the lights weren't as prominent on the road though the POA hadn't changed. The lenses are starting to show a very faint yellow not helping the warm color temp of 18yo halogens.

spiderman302's work with Evitek prompted me to order some F2s in 9007/HB5 fitment. With no installation instructions it took a several minutes for the first bulb and maybe 4 for the second.

They are terrific. My Eviteks are stated as 6500K which is bluer than I like. 5000K would be great. These are also stated as 6500K but are not as blue as my G6s. I like that.

I need to tend to the headlight lenses and know what needs to be done. But that's been pushed off to some future date with these bulbs. Their POA is only very slightly higher on low beam and blazing on high beam. They let me take back the night. Brilliant. Halogens are oh-so Boomer kit.

I rode to Iron Pony for a once over on my new-to-me bike. I got two new tires and a clutch fluid flush/fill. The wobble of the old tires is gone and it feels amazing! Ready for a long ride now!

Working on my LED conversion to all the front bulbs. I've had the bulbs, clear turn lenses and relays for a bit but didn't want to STrip the bike down while I was riding daily. As I wait for a new rear tire it's the ideal time to do the mods. Just debating about if I want to do anything else while it's apart (rad flush, brake fluid replacement, valve inspection, plugs etc...) It's a rabbit hole for sure.

The first photo is clear lenses and switchback LED's with stock headlights and marker bulbs. They have been swapped with the below bulbs but I've not reassembled everything yet.

Put it up on the rack and stripped the broken wheels off for replacement. Cleaned all the parts and inspected the headset and forks. All appears OK. New wheels show up tomorrow and tires on Tuesday. Pic of wheel damage. T

Yikes!! What caused that damage?

I really like that look and once I saw it here the mod had to be made. Somewhere here is a pic of the headlights– one a G6 and one a 55/65W H4. The G6 makes it look like I filled the H4 side with root beer.

After swapping out the other bulb for a G6 I put yellow-ish marker bulbs in as position lights for a bit of contrast. One day I may find Yellow-not-Amber LEDs to swap in.

Oil and filter change, and what a PITA it was getting the filter off without the cup thing! Like the majority here I put fully synth in (and no, I'm not restarting an oil thread) :D

Longed for the heat. Mid 60’s here in DFW. The Tracer doesn’t offer the wind protection the ST did.

Well I found that the dealer didn't tighten the drain plug tight enough so I had some oil on my garage floor. I promptly tightened it. But geez....they had one job to do.
