What did you do with your ST1100/ST1300 today?

Decided to flush the clutch fluid today. Found a pile of black mud in the bottom of the reservoir. Took the time to get it all out then pumped a full bottle of fluid through to hopefully clean it all out. I have to assume its the original fluid from 2006 judging by the look of it. Here's a pic of the mud I scraped out. Never seen fluid that bad before.

Egads! That's filthy.

Got a chance to try my new Sargent seat. They did a good job matching it to the rear seat. Feels a lot better so far. I may have to drop it down to the lowest height setting (29" inseam) when I put the sheep skin pad on.

Congrats on your Sargent seat. A definite upgrade from the stock seat.

Had my front wheel come of the ground in first today. Making a hard left turn. Surprised the hell outa me! So of course i had to pick a quiet straight stretch and try it a few more times! Yup, comes right up. Who knew?

"Had my front wheel come of the ground in first today."

I had that happen on my 1100 once while putting the whip to her to get around a texting driver leaving a stop light. Pulled out to the left, hit the throttle, and WHOA, Big Red!

Thankfully the pucker factor kept my seat attached to the seat.

I installed my new Clearview Shield yesterday. Haven't ridden with it yet, too hot....

Don't worry it'll cool off by October....maybe.
On another note I have made the mount and am in process of adding 2.5 additional gallons of fuel...…...should get me at least to the 300 mark.
Also ordered some RAM stuff to build some air wings.........
I wonder if anyone has ever used the vent line to tie in the add on fuel line. Seems awful easy....

Changed the fuel filter and tank joint hose. Next up will be a fork overhaul with new springs and RaceTech Gold valves.

Did a starter valve sync, adjusted the balancer gear backlash. Noticeable improvement in idle smoothness and mechanical noise.

Enjoyed riding after just purchasing a low mile 2001. Love the way this bike rides. I already have some new farkles on order, let the mods begin.
