What did you do with your ST1100/ST1300 today?

My wife cleans a couple cabins in the summer when she isn't working in school. Comes home a couple days ago and and say's "they left some beer and I brought it home for you" I said "oh good what kind" Coors light. Yuck I'll save it for when my son-law visits next week.

Rocky Mountain Spring Water. :puk1:

After 2 months, and only 700 miles, I sold my 05. The VStrom giggled as the new owner rode it away!!

I noticed a slow whine when I started my bike the other day. I looked down inside my front fairing at the newly installed LED lights and one of the lights cooling fans was turning slowly. I lightly touched the end of the motor , then the fan speed picked up a little but slowed and made a noise again when I released it. Nothing is jammed inside or around it the light. It doesn't do it all the time yet either.
I emailed the light company (Safego) at their complaint address on the box and that address doesn't exist. Gmail tried to send my mail 4 times already with no luck.
I contacted Amazon.ca and got some traction and got their "working email address". They requested a video of the problem. Now I'm waiting to see what they want to do......

I've had many short term rides. It was a nice ride, good power, but I'm not a Honda lover. In the last decade, I've had 3 Hondas, and all were sold rather quickly. The ST, an 02 Valkyrie, and a VFR. I bought my VStrom just a few weeks after the Valkyrie, and the Valk just sat for the rest of it's time here. I'm a Kawasaki/Suzuki lover. (loved my FZ1 Yammie too!) I'm somewhat addicted to finding killer m/c deals. Maybe I need therapy? :p

I had a most enjoyable day today!

I visited Ray (@Upt' North) at his home in far northern England, and he assisted me to change all the bearings & other parts in the rear wheel of my ST1100, flush the whole brake system with new fluid, and install a new battery. Truth is, Ray did 99% of the work on the wheel & the brake system, and I installed the battery that he purchased for me last week.

I really enjoy visiting other forum members when I travel, and it was a real blessing to have Ray's help (and use of his very well equipped garage) to carry out this maintenance work. I'm up in Scotland now, and look forward to visiting John (@jfheath) sometime next week when I ride back down south through central England.

Here's a picture of the two of us, after all the work was finished.

So refreshing to see people with the same passions from all over the world.
On my ST I had to remove my brand new to me Garmin 396LMT and send it back in for exchange. Just kept shutting off on me, so I figured I better ship it before its too late....

That's an interesting work space. Very cool to get out and about and visit others in other countries. Well done!
