What did you do with your ST1100/ST1300 today?

I have an ultrasonic mouse chaser device in my car’s engine compartment because I found poops on the top of the engine. Never seen them again. Have another for the bike, but forgot to put it in whilst doing the low pass filter upgrade.

Last night I was gifted a new-to-me Corbin seat to replace my ratty old seat. Owner calls me up yesterday after seeing my bike seat a couple weeks ago and says come on by the house. He GIVES me the seat, and wow, it's beautiful! I brought it home and added some conditioner to it as shown below.
(I hope this message is OK to post, since the other one was censored.)

May your butt cheeks be cosseted.
Upt'North.

Back a week before I did my cage trip to Utah, I decided I needed to replace the tires and brake pads on the 2010. So I started with the tires, and managed to get them both done that weekend, but then had to go on our trip.

So this last weekend, I was able to finish up.

So it got new tires/brake pads, flushed the brakes & clutch. I also changed the oil/filter, the rear end gear oil and I replaced the rear shock with a cop shock that I picked off ebay a couple of years ago that only had 409 miles on it.

I have ridden it in yesterday and today and it's running great! :hat3:

Well done. A free seat that 's in excellent condition.

After 66,455 miles, I finally installed a McCruise electronic cruise control system. Wish I did this years ago. Have had two Audiovox CCS-100 units fail me.

Since I just did that myself, how much did I save? Not including tires, which I spent about $360 on....if I remember right (I bought them several months ago.)

At a minimum you saved the labor, taxes, and county fees. After X changes your costs for tools have been repaid. You may also have saved some on materials.

I do not have space for a tire changer and I'm okay with helping keep a local indie shop busy.

Rode to work. Reminder, Monday is Ride to Work Day for those that don't commute regularly.

Did you have them flush the brakes since you had new pads put on?

Got my chicken strips narrower going down a straight highway. Okay, you know I exaggerate, but that side wind sucked.

New tire on the rear end. Michelin PR4-GT. Also replace the front wheel’s air valve that was leaking. This place you rollin, get a taco next door, and roll out. I brought my own Moly and had them use it.

Added a budget-priced TPMS today. I decided to use this empty area on the gauge cluster. Time will tell how well the supplied 3M sticker holds it there. If it ever falls off I'll let y'all know. I like this location because it's very easy to pay attention to. I already had 90-degree metal valve stems which is recommended for these. At $55 I think this is a great addition, especially being a safety item. The unit can twist off its base in case you're worried about theft. It also comes with a USB charging cable which I will recharge via my battery tender harness. It's supposed to last several weeks before needing to be recharged. It's also very easy to read in bright sunlight.

Hi Eric,

Are you happy with the TPMS?

Thanks,
Gino
