What did you do with your ST1100/ST1300 today?

Pulled off all the Tupperware off Amethyst, deep cleaned her all ready for my first ride for a month following my mini-stroke. Added pressure monitoring wheel valve caps for a visual check on tyre pressure.

Have a good and safe first ride Rick.
Hope there are no lingering after effects from your mini-stroke.

Thanks fnmag. I will have a 75 mile round trip to pick up some o rings and clips I ordered from Dammerells, our local Main Dealer, at Indian Queens. Can't wait to get back in the saddle. No, luckily, no lasting effects apart from a matching scar for the right side of my neck!

At the last minute, a gentleman from Illinois purchased my ST. I was able to get more than the dealer trade in offer.. tomorrow I get my Tracer.

Thanks for the kind words, I just wish Kari was feeling better, and that we would have had time to do a little riding together.
If you do get a chance to test ride your bike, I would suggest you ride up Mount Lemmon this morning. The views are beautiful, the roads are clear, and there is a nice little Pizza shop in summer haven, and a gift shop that sells fantastic Fudge by the pound a couple doors down from it.
On your way up the "Hill" you'll be able to see the entire city of Tucson, and all the surrounding mountains, I'm pretty sure all the way to New Mexico. There are Pull Off's every 1/4 mile or so if you want to take pictures. Its only about a 27 mile ride up the hill, but within those miles you'll go from approximately 2600 ft. alt. to over 9000 ft. alt.!
I look forward to hearing your review of how your bike rides and handles now, interested in knowing if you still have heat coming off the engine, and what kind of fuel mileage you'll be getting now.
Ride safe, and if your ever in the area again, please feel free to stop by and let me continue tweaking your bike, as I'm sure I'll find a few more things that I didn't have time to address this visit :rofl1:
You guys have a safe trip home....Hug the wife, and pet the dog for us.
Finally felt good enough to really ride and feel the smoothness....... Kari is still in a fog but my head cleared enough to feel safe on the bike, so we rode around Page AZ this morning....!!
All I can say is.....THANKS Larry...! It feel great, both engine smoothness and stopping power.

Finished polishing her and took her for my first ride for a month since having my stroke. Rode 105 miles to pick up parts ordered from Dammerells, then back to St Ives, coast road to St Just and back to Newlyn.
And all was glorious I presume? That's a nice sea trial!

100 mile run to grand baby sit. Up before the chickens. Then off to the grand boys tball. Then a 100 miles back along the river.

Always loved riding up and down the old river roads near Sacramento! :thumb:

Usual, rode the :bl13: 62.5 miles into work! I'll be riding the other 62.5 miles home tonight! :hat3:

They call that super commuting. And a lot of folk are doing that here. The back route takes me over vasco rd in the hills of Livermore hwy4 to rio vista then Along the river to west sac. If ya get up this way will take you to the new eat place at steamboat landing. Via a special route of course!

I did a lot of 160, up and back. Also out and around the foothills. This was back in the mid 70's, right after I got married. We had a CB450 back then.

Vasco RD was a lot of fun riding back when. Now the ACSO has motors that regularly work that area. Easy pickin's.

When I live in the 'pocket' I routinely rode all over the river roads of the Sac river.
Great fun, especially the midnight runs.
My duplex looked out along the river.

Ordered a new OEM windscreen. :bannana:
My other is nearly 12 years old and has almost completely hazed over.
Now if I can just learn to care for the new one and keep it nice and clear. :think1:
