What did you do with your ST1100/ST1300 today?

Thanks for the pic ATA...

So it appears that the extender can save fodder from the radiator intake, and yet there’s no practical way to shield the lower Tupperware scoop point.

Btw, ATA...
I like a guy that cleans the bike even down to the lower reaches like I do (it’s a Vette anal-ness thing for me). I do need to get a degreaser and do the under belly. We don’t have booth sprayers near by to do this away from home.

I wonder if it’s worth putting clear 3M film to protect vulnerable places. One I’d like to protect is the top of the paniers from my boot marks.

Look at the previous post (Andrew Shadow) for a possible longer splash guard. I’m happy with mine, rivets & all!

Yes I see that...
And yet his scoop point is still dirty. Looks a bit much IMHO.
Makes me think yours ATA is good enuf. Thanks for sharing.

It's not possible for any fender extender to keep all the dirt and dust off. Well maybe if you never ever turn.

It's clear the Stuff Stopper will do more than the short versions but the aesthetic isn't as nice. I wonder how much help they are.

I was always finding small stones lodged in the radiator area. Not neccessarily in the fins but in the whole area surrounding the radiator with a few small ones in the fins as well. One day I unknowingly went through some fresh road marking paint. I guess the crew thought it had been long enough and had removed the signs but it must have been wet still because the whole area behind the front wheel was a pretty fluorescent speckled yellow. I installed one (Stuff Stopper) after that and have not had the front tire throw anything of significance up there since.

ST1100 clear protective film set:
08P72-MT3-110 SCUFF PAD SET
My note in my archives sez Mother Honda wanted $56 USD circa the turn of the century.

I never bought them but other STriders seemed to like them. You can buy aftermarket sheets of the stuff and cut your own, also reported. Somebody had and shared the patterns of Honda’s panels but that’s loST to hiSTory (mine anyway...).

I did order Honda replacements for my scuffed-up protective film panels covering the flip-down “doors” in the Seat Cowling (for when the saddlebags are removed), but never installed them. I always ride with the saddlebags installed....
FWIW

Here's a pic of looking at the Fenda Extenda straight on...I like...sorry for the night shot!237200

The ST1300 Honda scuff pad set seems to be available for $64-$75 depending on where you look. But then a lot of places should listings for the Mirror and Deflector sets only to show OOS when you actually ordered. So YMMV.

Replaced left clam shell assy. I have cleaned & lube the switch 3X's. It was X to replace. Turn signals just did not work. U would think after 200 thousand miles.
Ride tomorrow.

I installed a pivot riser on my st1100 today. It feels much better than before. They are priced for $30on Amazon. After a short test drive they seemed to hold up fine. I will take them for a longer ride to see if they stay rigid.

Tried to fix a sporadic cold weather leak. Changed thermostat, gasket, water pump gasket and flushed the coolant. All done and now I have a constant drip[emoji35] the water pump gasket must not have seated properly...if you look close at the 1st picture, you can see blue in the seam. Yay me, guess I get to do it all again. Oh yeah, since it was cold I to fight to get every hose connection off.
