What did you do with your ST1100/ST1300 today?

I started some maintenance items that were either due or unknown. (so due)

Started with the rear gear oil (an unknown) It was grey/green  , then moved to the engine oil and filter (due.) It was as expected. :)

Removed the Tupperware to start on replacing coolant (unknown), wiring in new driving lights, wiring in dual horns, check/replace air filter (unknown), brake fluid replacement (unknown but due), replacing both exhaust clamps (one broke last Fall).... Also have some extra trim farkle items (tank pads rear & sides and side cover fill-ins.) Likely going to tidy up the trailer isolation wiring from multiple relays to an all in one unit.

She ain’t gonna put herself back together.

Finally got the back end together, but I left my manual at home, so I have everything loose but assembled, might just leave everything loose to make my first ride of the year exciting. OK, on second thought...

Rode to Calgary to pick up some supplies for another hobby of mine - reloading rifle ammo - not much on the shelves for the last few years, so I scrounge the buy n sell sites, and found some brass I’ve been looking for, for a while now. About 220 miles round trip. Perfect weather, full sun, 75 deg F. Makes for lots of smiles, even if they’re mostly on the inside….

Finally changed the regular NGK spark plugs on my ST1100, for new NGK Iridium.
It was about time to change them, and the price of the Iridium is now almost the same than the regular ones.
The Left Rear (number 4) cylinder is a bit less accessible and need to have a bit more tupperware removed. Anyway, not a big deal.
Now, it may be subjective.... but I'm sure my engine runs more even, like a sewing machine. No more caughing or misfiring.

I just got insurance on my 2004, and I'll be registering it tomorrow at the Utah, DMV.

Well it wasn't today but Monday. Went to local BMW dealer & drank the koolaid. I'm ST- less now. Bought a (new) 2021 R1250RT. Still trying to figure out all the goodies on this thing. Hope to still lurk & post occasionally though.

Yesterday I changed the oil on my :bk13:, and gave it a good bath and waxing!

Today, I have been packing the bike for WeSTOC, leaving tomorrow afternoon and hoping to miss the thunderstorms on the way there! :thumb:
