What did you do with your ST1100/ST1300 today?

Just returned from a 2 week trip to north Carolina. Got to spend some time with my favorite riding partner (my son). Lots of good riding. Spent a couple days with some friends in northern Ga. Great roads great friends great time.

Finally got a couple rides in this fall. Did 180 miles on Sunday, and another 175 today. Cross crossed all round our Huckleberry mountains. Glad to be back on two wheels. Had been a little spooked after hitting that concrete chunk last fall and breaking both wheels. And after a couple close calls with the local forest rats.
Rode the ferry across the lake, crossed 6 passes, it was a good day. And probably the last good day this fall, rain tomorrow.

Whats this? how many and what is in your stable now days? Heard from Uncle Larry lately? Coming to SeaStoc?
This is my newest ST1300, a 2012 that I got in Washington with 16,000 miles on it, then went by Uncle Larry's on the way home. I have 4 bikes in the shop right now. Not sure about SeaSoc yet.

Just brought my st1100 to workshop recently. The problem is, the loud rattling sound from beneath of bike when trying to start rapidly, especially with passenger. Tryed to burnout once, same result. Clutch is new. As I was told here, that most probable problem is a drivetrain.
Is someone have link to videos or some article how to get to driveshaft, would be very appreciated. Didn't find anything comprehensive about it on the internet.

Thanks)

Post in the ST1100 technicals Alberto.
It'll be better discussed there. When did you last have the rear wheel off, what are the splines like.

Bike still running and stopping good?

Adjusted left side valves today, I marked the chains and sprockets but after rotating they didn’t line up so I removed them and used the timing marks, never made it to the right.. have a new airbox on the way.. lol
Got the snorkels off with no problem. When I saw the heads on the screws, I knew I was in for some fun.. I got all them loose except 2. Impact driver and speed out got the first one out but the last one would budge. Broke out the drill and was making good progress.
Went through my drill bit progression and when I started with 5/16 bit drill slipped and I had a lot of pressure on it so through the side of the airbox I went. I found a used one on eBay so I just ripped it off and removed the screw.
I probably could repair it but I have too many other projects and getting another on was easier..
