Itchy Boots

On what basis do you have this opinion?

Given that a "long day's ride" for Noraly is 300-400km and that we know where she was in Mexico on Palm Sunday, IMHO I doubt that she has already left Alaska.
We also know where she was in February, which was 14 weeks behind the current date. Other than that I cannot provide any other information regarding the simple fact I shared.

Did Noraly run a Stop sign ??

Yea, I would've run it too :)

She's ridden 11 hrs , 622 km this episode...

She was gifted her early meal, but obviously paid :)

USA CDC dropped requirement for a COVID test to cross the border on June 12th. So Noraly crossed the border at least six weeks ago.

With everyone everywhere having a phone and the ability to post things immediately to social media, it surprises me that her location is not reported on a regular basis as a result of sightings of her.

The average Joe / Joan has NO idea who Noraly is.

I have shared her YouTube channel to other motorcycle folks, and even THEY have never heard of her.

There is so much "noise" out in the social media channels, I'm not surprised...

I was thinking the same thing. Although not sure where I would see it even if it was posted other than here or the ADV forums or maybe her FB fan club page.

I get that it is a small niche population who knows of her adventures.
I just thought that with the speed that social media works, all it would take is for someone somewhere to take a picture because they found having so many cameras mounted on one bike interesting, or a woman with foreign plates on an ADV bike traveling by herself cool, or the bike looked cool and they took a picture even though Noralay wasn't there, whatever the motivation is for taking a picture. They don't even have to know who she is or the story, they just need to post the pic. I would have thought that this would happen everywhere that she goes to some degree or other, making for many opportunities for her to be discovered. All it takes is one picture posted online and for some who does know the story to see it, recognizes it and the jig is up.

I'm surprised that it has never happened, especially while she is in the states where so much gets posted instantly as the pictures are taken.

Noraly found a great route to and through Joshua Tree National Park. After leaving San Diego, she was alone on the dirt roads. From Blythe, she can follow the Southern California BDR north and connect to other BDRs which could take her all the way to the Canadian border on challenging dirt roads.

I'm doing the ID BDR in a couple of weeks. Maybe we will cross paths although given her timelines, she has probably already been through there and is in Canada by now.

I have been watching all of her current season and the trip through South and Central America so far. Very entertaining and educating. Makes me want to ride more. In one of the episodes, or another random episode I've watched, she mentioned a delay in posting and deliberately being vague about future destinations etc. She said she did not used to do this and people would predict her path and then meet up and want to ride with her. Not to mention the possibility of unwarted attention from enamoured fans.

I think to would be great to "bump" into her on a ride, but southwestern Ontario feels like it would be a long way off her course. AND gravel is not the friend of my ST. Perhaps George (Catcher) might argue with me about ST's and gravel...

I'm confused ... he didn't state he met her ... or did I not read his post correctly ?
You DID read his post correctly.
I simply missed this one little, teeny-tiny word at the very beginning.
John began his post with "IF", but not in all caps.
I'll delete my previous silly post, but I still think @John OoSTerhuis is cool.
Special, even.

"I'm here right?" .........:rofl1:

Veijo border dude going rico suave asking for her digits really cracked me up. Then the CBP youngster — I know you! Can I get a picture?! — cracked me up. Noraly actual seemed a touch embarrassed at the recognition. I saw that as a lack of ego on her part. No diva she.

Again I really like her narration style. She doesn't sound like some tour guide (not that there's anything wrong with that). No unnecessary drama. We don't know that she wasn't talking to some Sinaloa Cowboys or similar so there'd be some drama there. The girl still boldly goes.

This was another great episode. Every time I watch her vid I give @kiltman a mental shout out for posting about her.

I hope Noraly is not badly injured. I was worried that she was becoming overconfident when she was riding at 120kph on the sandy roads of Baja.
