Itchy Boots

An example of how those who meet her tend to respect her privacy.......a group I know crossed paths with her in Chile and shared their lunch with her. Nobody mentioned it for several weeks and then only to say that they had crossed paths and she was very nice and down to earth.

I've tried watching her series a number of times. Since I'm jumping in, I've found it difficult to watch her videos in order. For example, today I watched her mishap in the Arizona desert, episode Season 6, 103. After it was over, I wanted to see the next episode, but despite searching for Episode 104, I was unable to find it, despite using the exact same format as her video used for 103.

How does one watch her videos in order? I'd love to go back to season one and just watch them in chronological order from the beginning - say one or two a day. Is this even possible?

I have never watched any of her videos, but I went and had a look at her YouTube channel to see how they were organized. If you go there, all of her videos are in chronological order starting with season one episode one being at the extreme bottom right-hand of her page and the newest release being the first one on the top left of the page.

but despite searching for Episode 104, I was unable to find it,

There isn't a 104 yet ... it'll be out tomorrow, Fri

How does one watch her videos in order

I dunno .... I'm subscribed, and as such, I can scroll sdrawkcab thru the episodes... in chrono order

EDIT: to be clear, I'm using the YouTube app on a Samsung smart TV or the app on an Android phone ... I don't access YouTube using a browser, only the dedicated app.

They are posted Mon/Wed/Fri.

Thank you guys!. @Andrew Shadow, I'd been on that page but only saw a few horizontal lines with some of the episodes. When I followed your instructions and started scrolling down, more thumbnails loaded, and each time I scrolled, pause, load some more episodes. Thanks.

Her crash is indeed, unfortunate and I hope she recovers quickly and completely.

I know that cameras distort reality, but as my (non-rider) wife and I have been watching Noraly, I have often remarked that, while she is a very skilful rider, she is not nearly as defensive or cautious as I am. Watching her go belting down a little narrow street in a busy town with lots of blind intersections, has scared the heck out of me a number of times.

….and as the old adage goes: there are riders who have crashed and riders who will crash - and there are no other kinds.

Pete

I was out for a ride and lunch with some biker buddies today and it turned out that all of them follow Itchy Boots as well. To a man (5 guys) they have all had the same cringeworthy moments watching her lack of defensive riding. As I said to the group, I don't want to pile-on because she is a cool person doing a lot of neat things and she is a very skilled rider - but her level of caution would benefit from an increase if she is to avoid further mishaps....IMO.

In short, I have considered likewise. Even bearing in mind the concept of GoPro video, where "what you see isn't exactly what the rider saw", she is pretty consistent in her riding style.
And many of us following since the beginning, or at least having watched the early seasons, can tell a distinct improvement in her off-road skills. All those riding schools and teachers she had back in Holland have really paid off, and she pretty much covered all aspects of riding a bike.

What I find interesting is that she averages 800k + views for most of her videos.

For this last video ... the four-wheeler video, it only has 360k views - that's slightly less than 1/2.

I didn't watch it either ... only a preview

It is now up to 444K views. Give it a few days and it will be to the average.

Send in the drones! There has to be drones...!

I just watched Ep. 105 with nearly 540K views. Freakin' awesome! Roll that beautiful drone footage. More drone footage in that ep than in any five eps before. Just amazing. For having zero green growth the "moon" is a beautiful place. The "A-Team" music in e104 made me laugh.

Phenomenal, spectacular, episode! One of the best ever. I held my breath and my gut tightened when they were riding AND walking next to the edges of those drops. I hadn’t heard the story about having to reshoot the Thema and Louise plunge into the canyon twice because the dummie’s heads flew off during the first take. Loved today’s drone footage, especially when you can catch the two of them riding together in that terrain. Also, very nice to see footage of just Noraly herself riding from another perspective. The ankle is holding up OK… hope she doesn’t push it, we’ve got to get our brave lady to Tuktoyaktuk before the snow flies. Bravo Noraly and Ed!!

It’s worth a watch… recommended. She can make almost anything interesting to me.

Your post interested me enough to go directly to her YT channel‘s videos page:
and scroll through her episodes. Notice that the ones with well over a million views are those where the title/‘hook’ implied Itchy Boots was possibly in danger. Not sure what that says about our prurient interest.

Also, I’m not at all interested in Noraly’s love life. I don’t need or want to know about it (nor to read others’ conjectures about it) and I hope she continues to keep that part of her life private.

On another note, I’m surprised we haven’t gotten a geography lesson or two about the Moab area.

Regards, John

I just watch Ep.106 Ready to Ride. It.Was.Awesome. Just some incredible scenery given the lack of greenery. They both made the riding look effortless expect for that errant tree that got in Noraly's path.

I could watch that drone footage all day. And the GoPro IS works well and helps make the riding look very fluid. Speaking of which seeing actual water looked out of place.

There were a couple of places were Noraly walked close to the wall of the trail. I did not care for those time when they were near the edge. In the opening before the title rolls she say "I have to pay a little bit of attention... If you don't mind". <gulp>

The Kalahari Desert music that she's used is really nice. She's great at matching audio with visual.

That ep will get downloaded to watch again.
