Itchy Boots

Nothing broken thankfully, so a few days rest will see her up and riding again. Great news!
I've priced her high-zoot boots, so I would surely hope those feet and ankles were protected!
Still, I haven't seen this episode so I probably should just shut up now.
(But DANG! those boots are pricey!)

How much is Noraly's salary
IIRC, this YT has been posted on the site before, probably right in this thread. Somewhat interesting BUT…. I’ll echo the almost universal feelings of the commenters to the YT vid: who cares…?!?! She earns every cent (or whatever the smallest coin in Holland is called). JMHO

Her crash is indeed, unfortunate and I hope she recovers quickly and completely.

I know that cameras distort reality, but as my (non-rider) wife and I have been watching Noraly, I have often remarked that, while she is a very skilful rider, she is not nearly as defensive or cautious as I am. Watching her go belting down a little narrow street in a busy town with lots of blind intersections, has scared the heck out of me a number of times.

….and as the old adage goes: there are riders who have crashed and riders who will crash - and there are no other kinds.

Glad to see that she is relatively OK!

Something to consider.....if she hadn't been wearing good boots, she may have been injured more seriously.
I crashed my Vstom on a hill climb and broke my fibula and lost most of a season's riding. I was wearing Sidi OnRoad boots.
I changed my boots to Alpinestar Tech 7's, had a similar crash and had a mild twisted/bruised ankle that was Ok after a day. Good boots, when you are off roading, are essential!!!

That was a really steep hill. Maybe not her toughest ride to date, but tricky nonetheless.
I've done a fair bit of GoPro video while riding offroad, and the camera just simply does not convey the actual vertical dimension from the on-bike perspective.
I got a better sense of it as she turned around, though, and went back down. Tough track.

With everyone everywhere having a phone and the ability to post things immediately to social media, it surprises me that her location is not reported on a regular basis as a result of sightings of her.

She probably prefers it that way. No need for a bunch of wanna be stalkers looking for their 15 minutes of fame. I'll be honest, a couple of guys here would creep me out if I were her. LOL

I am sure that she does, and with good reason.

My point is that in this age of instant social media she has very limited and often no control over who takes pictures of her or her motorcycle or what they do with them, including posting them on line. I find it surprising that it hasn't happened is all.

I met a young lady at Crater Lake who reminded me of Noraly. In fact, I told her about Noraly. Anyway, while we're talking an old man...probably my age, but he looked old...came up to start his own conversation with her. It was pretty clear to me that he was hitting on the lady. It was sad to watch and I felt for her.

That was just an ordinary nice looking lady. I can imagine what Noraly would experience if her location was being broadcast on social media.

... "that you know of"
Over the course of several years of her doing this, many people have tried many times to find out where she is in real time and have never found any information about that. If pictures had been posted, her location and when the picture was taken would be online and someone would have found it by now, at least once I would think. It seems that no one has.
