Itchy Boots

As you cannot delay the visibility of your postings on FB and Instagram, this means she has been in the Netherlands for about two weeks.

Maybe I misunderstood you, but there are numerous ways to schedule social media posts.

Yes, once you hit "Post", the post goes out (that goes without saying), but it's entirely possible to create content and put it in a queue for later distribution. I do it every day.

So how do you queue content on FB and Instagram? When I create some content and press post, it goes online immediately. However, YouTube gives you the ability to post a video and then determine the exact time it will go live.

Interesting article on Noraly and her background.
Chris
Thanks, Chris. Egle Gerulaityte, one of my favorite motoscribes. Her trip report on ADV (EvergreenE) is amazing:
She later had more great adventures with one of the very best RTW travelers (and blogger, spectacular photographer), Paul Stewart (rtwpaul). Here’s just one of his:

And in that one is a wonderful example of Egle’s writings (she’s Lithuanian BTW):

Enjoy,

John

If you have a Facebook business page, there's a scheduler function built in.

Otherwise, you use a scheduler like HootSuite, Loomly, Constant Contact, or any number of others.

There's an entire industry that revolves around scheduling social media. You don't have to be on Facebook to post something on Facebook.

I mentioned this YouTube channel in another post, but I thought it deserves it’s own thread. This channel was recommended to me a couple of months ago. The author Noraly is a young Dutch rider who chose a Royal Enfield Hymalian as her STead. The format of her videos is perfected over time and they are a treat to watch. This season she encorporates the use of a drone, which enhances the viewing pleasure. She has a great sense of adventure, engages with the locals, and it’s uplifting. The videos are generally under twenty minutes, so you can easily watch them on a lunch break or extended coffee break.
For us folks who have put away our bikes for the season,
I think it’s worth checking out.
Thanks, has been seeing her video in past 30 days. I really like her videos on youtube.

Pretty decent review here of the 2020 Honda CB500X where he specifically mentions Noraly and how well it handles long-distance touring, tarmac and offroad. Around the four-minute mark.

I think she's chosen her bikes well for what she's done so far.

I'm going to start my own youtube channel called Foggy Glasses.... not much to see unfortunately.

reminds me of when the invisible man married the invisible woman-never understood what they saw in each other- their kids were nothing to look at for sure

An update, this arrIved in my mailbox this morning, many of you might have gotten the same, for those that didn’t, here you go.
I am back in The Netherlands and my original plan to was to leave for Southern Europe somewhere around this time again. Modification plans for Ronin were set in motion to prepare Ronin for more difficult off-road riding, which I will show you in tomorrow’s YouTube episode!

But… then I had to change my plans. The ‘second wave’ is going around Europe in full blast and many countries are going back into partial, regional or full lockdowns again. My own country, The Netherlands, has been in a partial lockdown for a little while now too.

I am sure we all were hoping that the world would have returned back to normal by now, but that is unfortunately not the case. So we all have to adapt. For me, that means that I am spending winter in The Netherlands.

Of course I would much rather traveled around the world and create videos for you, but I don’t think I have to explain why that’s not possible now… So, I am using my time here to work very hard on my new website AND make a brand-new season of videos. They won’t be travel videos - but, they are going to be motorcycle videos nevertheless!!

Next week, on the 9th of November, I am going to release the first episode of this new series. I hope you will enjoy those videos too, and when it is possible again, join me again on new adventures around the world.

Take care and speak soon!

Cheers, Noraly

Getting caught up on the past couple weeks worth of video, currently watching the change of plan episode. Was glad to see her adapt to the conditions and stay in a cabin instead of trying to camp, after a full day of cold and wet. Not even Noraly is that adventurous which makes me feel less of a weather weenie.

Will be interesting to see what content she creates over the winter and how she makes it hers.

So mark your calendar for Nov 9, for a new season of "non travel oriented" motorcycle videos ...

:headbang:
... or just set an alert on a subscription to the Itchy Boots YouTube channel. Then you'll get a "ding" every time Noraly posts a new video.

KILTMAN! I like to read this forum before getting to my emails so your scoop wrecked my breakfast plans!

Not exactly Noraly news, but they reopened Machu Picchu yesterday. She was on her way there from Bolivia before everything went into lockdown. In the video above, actors Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman did make it there, as they were ahead of her a few months on their travels through South America.

The Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, the crown jewel of Peru's tourist sites, reopened Sunday with an ancient ritual after a nearly eight-month lockdown due to the novel coronavirus pandemic.

For safety reasons, however, only 675 tourists will be able to access the site per day, just 30 percent of the number of visitors pre-pandemic.
