Itchy Boots

Looks like Noraly made it to Iceland as Baldy recommended!

Does that mean . . . the causeway is finished?

OK, I know she's taken ferries and boat rides before, but since she said she's going to ride Europe, I'm guessing somewhere on the continent.

I'm thinking more on the lines of Norway or Finland

We'll find out on Friday 14th, but the rocks on the sides of the road look volcanic. There are no areas in Norway or Finland with recent volcanic activity so my bet is Iceland!

Iceland is technical in Europe though it does straddle the mid-Atlantic rift so you could argue that half of it is in North America and Half in Europe :rofl1:!

Iceland is relatively easy to ship a bike by boat to from Europe, but she could have had it air freighted. Iceland is in the Shenzen EU treaty zone and they have been allowing tourists from Europe to go there from early in July.

The teaser is out.
In a world... where one woman sets out alone to explore the ordinary and extraordinary... It's ITCHY BOOTS Season 3. Coming soon to a computer near you.

Confirmed Iceland...
Dang going to be late to the party as we’re doing an RTC this week when the first episode of season 3 is launched...need to find a lunch stop with wifi. ;)

Noraly is coming to terms with the inevitability of riding in the rain.

It will be interesting to see how she shipped her bike and if she had to quarantine on arrival in Iceland

it's great to see a woman as excited to "motorcycle riding" as the rest of us ... you can see it in her eyes this is not about [only] "making a buck$ on YouTube"

Speaking of women riding motorcycles, this girl can ride!

Well, received another email early Wednesday morning from Noraly, saying she was sorry for the hassle and was shipping another set and here‘s the tracking number. She’ll keep an eye on this shipment and hopes all works out.

Compare that to the Gap. Ordered masks on May 10th, received a notice that my wife’s set would ship the 20th of May, set to arrive early June. All worked out and she’s happy.

My set were to ship first week of June, arriving the 12th. Received shipping confirmation the 10th. Delivery the 14th. Nope. No change. No change. No change. On the 20th, delivery confirmed for the 29th... Nope. Didn’t happen. No change to the tracking info.

Spent 7 hours over 3 days on hold trying to reach customer service. Nope, nada.

Sent an email Sunday to customer service looking for answers... no response, not even the anticipated automated reply telling me they’d get back to me. Nada.

Till tonight, I received two emails, one with a 15% coupon and one from a CSR explaining that to protect their team, issues with the postal service etc. etc. etc. blah blah blah... And apparently I should receive them 10 days after June 30th. Which is tomorrow. Interesting timing, no?

Ordered Forcefield Sport Tubes from a shop in Germany 6 days ago. Arrived Tuesday and since taxes are due, had to pick up at post office. Got there Wednesday. What’s that? 7 days?

So buy again from Itchy Boots? Sure, small business, good folks trying hard, different languages and processes.

From the folks in Germany? Sure, mid size business, good folks trying hard, different language and processes.

From the Gap? Uh...

Update to my earlier post:

The second shipment left Holland the day after Noraly’s email. It sat in a European post office for 20 days and then arrived in a Canadian Customs office, where it stayed for two days. Three days later, after release from Customs, the envelope finished the last 92 kilometre leg of its travels and landed in my mail box.

So, order received at last, happy with the buffs, thrilled to support Noraly.

Thankful it wasn’t something important!

I’ve never been a FaceBooker I’m afraid.
Be afraid. Be very afraid. :D I now a lot of people like and use FB. I choose not to because I just don't trust The Zuck. Too many problems with the site divulging info. So I really appreciate the heads-ups that are posted here when I forget to check her YT channel. I'm subscribed but maybe I better ring that bell again.

I am greatly enjoying the new season! The 360° GoPro on a forward boom is a new feature... great angles. And of course the drone segments are truly wonderful.

I see Ms Schoenmaker‘s Itchy Boots channel now has over a half million subscribers! IINM, that means not only a plaque but increased monetization. Spread the word, let’s get her to 1,000,000!

It's strange. I don't get any notifications from the YT (bell's on).
Not only from her but others too.

If you're referring to notifications on your smartphone, there are two places to check
a) YouTube app - Settings -> Notifications
b) the phone's Notification setting for the app ... for example, on Android: System Settings -> Apps -> YouTube app -> Notifications.
