Actually, when i was in the sub force (Groton, CT) we had a commanding office (aka CO) come in to the pier too quickly, and it ramped up onto the pier... the officers have the parking spots nearest their boat... the bow of his sub crushed his personal auto, parked next to the slip.
And yes, he was relieved of command.
