Where did you ride today?

I put some new Dunlop Roadsmart 4s on the bike, and "had" to scrub them in. So a ride on High Bridge Road was in order. Those are snow geese...bigger than Canadian honkers.

Cold, damp, short run to local garage for annual MOT - passed with a clean bill of health and no advisory notes.
All road legal for another year, just need some better weather now ... ...

25F on my ride into work this morning paid off well.

50 degrees and sunny for a nice ride this afternoon.

Today I did the southern Coromandel Loop. Its a beautiful summer's day here, I left home at 930 and was home by 2pm, a nice non-stop 340km ride that is predominantly twisty roads with very few straight bits, just how I like it.

Took a ride out to Rosario Beach on the south end of Fidalgo Island today.

Just a spur of the moment ride. The temperature was warmer than the past few weeks at mid-40s, and no rain was in the forecast...but would be coming in tonight. So I gassed up, and took off.

The tidal pools are apparently well enough known to be on the maps. There's also an underwater park that I didn't explore.

Whidbey Island Naval Air Station is just a couple miles away, and there were several F-18s flying in the area.

It brought back good feelings of being in the USAF and hearing the sound of freedom.

Took a ride this afternoon for the first time in 3 weeks, longest I've not ridden since I started riding again when I got my ST back in 2013. Brother and I rode about 120 miles in 3 hours. Was 55°-65°, a nice departure from the single digits and snow we had last week.

Florida's first Buc-ees opened today about 35 miles away. I rode over and back at lunchtime to get a bag of Beaver Nuggets.

Like chicken nuggets but made of ....Beaver??? Did they taste like chicken?
More like weasel with a chicken over tone. It's the "other" white meat :)

Actually they are popcorn-sized deep fried waffle or pancake mix nuggets with a sugary coating. The first 10 or 15 taste good, after that not so much. Kids might like them, like Cracker Jacks. It was in impulse purchase I now regret. It must have been the people dressed up in beaver suits for the general festivities. I got caught up.
