Where did you ride today?

No pictures as I think they might be unwelcome - rode to a urologist for a Prostate exam - all good!
Take care of it man, I had surgery for prostate cancer in April of this year. NO fun! So far, all is well.
I went for a short ride today, 130 miles. The weather was warm and I got caught in a small rain shower, but not enough to get wet.

Man, after wading through Daboo's posts, I feel ashamed to say all I did was zig zag across the Snoqualmie Valley seeing which fields have been harvested. And I didn't document with photo's. We need to rename this thread to "Daboo and his travels', 'cuz clearly the rest of us are NOT WORTHY! Well, I am not worthy as I've been retired longer than Daboo has and done less...

I went on a "Volcano Run" yesterday with some friends. Passed over Chinook Pass, Cayuse Pass, White Pass, and along near Mt. Rainier and Mt. St. Helens.

I apologize for the blurriness in the pictures taken with the Sena 10C Pro...the ones where you can see my helmet. Looks like a bug did its thing on the lens.

Mt. Rainier in the background.

Heading towards Windy Ridge on Mt. St. Helens. It's a great road, and great scenery. Don't try to mix them. A friend of mine tried that and they airlifted him out...then sent a Chinook helicopter to retrieve his Harley. This area was in the blast zone. Now, 40 years later, it is growing back.

Went for a ride in the back country today... on small country roads... between the farms...
Alone.... slowing a bit, here and there, to smile at horses, cows, or even to old tractors.
Man, I like those places.... flying just above the road.
That looks like a great ride! I'm envious!

Martin (sky.high) and I got out for a bit of a backroad ride today. Eastern slopes northwest of Calgary. Beautiful day.
The half full glass side of the Covid situation is that it is "forcing" us to explore/ride more local and regain the appreciation of what we have outside of our own backdoor.

I changed all the fluids, oils and filters and put new disk pads in all round ready to go to France soon. Had a local tour about 40 miles to bed in the brakes a bit and all is well. The clutch is a lot smoother since changing the fluid! Not nearly so clunky on the gearchanges......

Is it not a grand thing to tend to the bike once in a while? Something about doing the work and enjoying the benefit of a well cared for bike. Hope the ride goes well

We've just been let out of local lockdown in Auckland where I live, so my good friend Andrew and I headed north to Russell in the Bay of Islands, with a loop back to the south via Kaikohe, about 750km all up. Great weather ( just a mild shower as I left home) and company, and my 1300 was in its element on the highly twisty route that we took. The only casualty was my friend's 1100 Tuono which decided to have a lie down in front of me around a particularly tight left hander. After pulling to a stop with my heart in my mouth, it was a relief to find Andrew completely unscathed (ATGATT, kids) AND his bike's bodywork completely untouched; the merits of strategically placed crash bungs kept the expensive bits off the deck. The only explanation for the crash was something unseen but spilled on an otherwise grippy road, both bikes have evidence of running through some oily liquid during the day. Fortunately, it didn't dampen anyone's enthusiasm and we had a great run.

We even managed an "overseas" trip on the ferry between Russell and Opua!
