Where did you ride today?

Somewhere between Leesville and Lisbon on route 164.
My destination road that is part of variations on a loop theme that is about 200 miles, about 4 hours, when I want to exercise my focusing abilities. There are a few blind apexes. Sometimes I slow down and take in the beautiful scenery along the way.

No ice cream for me.
I am usually commuting west of Welshfield on 422 on a black, sometimes on an 03 and occasionally passing through Parkman on 88 on relaxation rides.

I'm sure I've been on this stretch then. When I get some time to "joy ride", that's also where I head. I normally ride to Salineville and then head south and west. It's hard to pick a bad road in this area - all the way to the Ohio River.

I rode out to the prison yesterday evening. Even though I left at 4:45 pm, it was dark...so no pictures. Temps were pleasant at the low to mid-40's.

Considering that it is January 1 and I am in Central Iowa where normally I expect to see snow all over and temps below freezing...
It is a VERY nice day today with the sun shining and roads are clear so decided to go for a ride on New Years day. Not something that normally happens around here.
Temp was around 34F when I started and made it up past 40F most of the way around. I rode 67 miles today. The humidity was a bit high so temp felt a little cooler than the number on the temp gauge but still no need for any extra extra liners or heated gear yet.

40 degrees at sunrise on my annual New Years Day ride with friends. It warmed up to 65 by lunchtime in Gainesville, FL. Beautiful clear day. A great start to 2020.

I went on a 40 mile ride with the local Christian Motorcycle Association for their annual Polar Bear ride, raising money for local charities. This year we raised over $1400 for the local food bank. Started the day at 30 degrees, but quickly warmed to near 50.

3 New Years Day rides today. Haven't missed a New years Day ride in I don't know how many years. This one was 46 degrees and sunny so it was a pleasant one. Only rode 62 miles total, but only log the miles on my FJR and CB since the CB500X technically belongs to my nephew who lives in Nevada but keeps it at my house so he has something to ride when he comes to visit. I just exercise it for him occasionally lol.
