Where did you ride today?

@St-Gerard if that's your Cessna 195 in the pic I'll be up to visit this summer! And why is it out in the snow?
Ah sorry the "attached" pic is from a few years back, and wish it were my Airplane. Forgot what year she is but it's a Dehaviland Beaver.20151108_153107.jpg
Here's a teaser picture of the Beaver and my restored 81 Silverwing taken in 2016 , reason she was outside is we don't have a hanger large enough.

Nice pic of a great looking old bike and plane. And now I know the rest of the map location story. Chapter 85!

My last ride of 2023. It was nice sunny day +9C (48F "for you at the other side of the pond"), rode to closed mountain border check point between Turkey and Georgia (again, not the one that you used to know)) Guards asked to delete pictures, sorry for that( Enjoyed nice views of untouched country.

Visited ruins of VI BC Gvara temple on the way back home, was quite nervous on wet concrete roads.

Happy New Year )
Alberto makes it hard for me to find the picture locations because Google car doesn't drive around over there but it is possible sometimes.

He was standing right where it shows the little guy at the lower left. And I think they walked down the old concrete stairs to the river below.

Just for all you northern hempisphere riders, I thought I'd share a photo from yesterday's ride. It is summer here and actually a bit of a heatwave with humidity you can cut with a knife and 30C air temperatures. Much too hot for me to take the 1300 out, and even my VFR (which I normally don't mind on a warm day) was a tad toasty, even with my mesh jacket and riding jeans on. I probably needed some Golf underpants as well (thanks @Slammer, that's an image I can't unsee).

After battling out of the gridlock on our motorway (why did everyone else need to be holding me up on a sunny Sunday?) I hit some decent curvy roads but lost heart after an hour as the road surface was melting badly making for very uncertain traction, so I headed home for shade, a cooling sea breeze and a beer (or possibly two). Can't wait for some cooler weather...:rofl1:

you nailed it, that was exact places where I have been) And the farthest point where road hits military border point was here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/o4XMrjq4eMDfgode7

Do I need to post location info for my rides next time to make it easier to find or leave it as is, hard to find? :)

No need to give exact locations. It's just a fun thing for me look it up when possible.

WØQNX is killing time so he doesn't have to find a stone arch bridge. :rofl1:

There aren't any around here. I have looked and rode and looked.
And no horse and wagon or even just a wagon. I got a wagon wheel is about it.

Find me either within 250 miles and I'll go tomorrow!

Odd I would think between GA, AL, and MS there would be one… I think you not trying. :rofl1:
I did think it would not be easy, but knew they are world wide.

The landlocked Lighthouse had me 100 mi inland too. You beat me to it.
