Where did you ride today?

970Mike I like to try to figure out where pics are taken. Is that first photo off the Painted Cave rd.?

We had a nice 60 degree day on the East Coast so I took a ride to the marina and back to enjoy the bike and the day! It was a nice 50 to 60 mile ride round trip. Met a fellow rider during my stop at a store. He was checking out my bike, come to find out he had owned multiple bikes over the years, including two STs. We made plans to ride when we get good weather again.

Nice, another one of those ST's that have a kick stand on the right side. HAHA. (picture reversed by selfie for all you wonderers) I haven't made it to Oracoke yet. I need to soon.

I forgot that taking a selfie still does that on SOME cellphones. Mine always automatically corrects the picture so it's right.

A nice ride around Santa Barbara County today, 75 for the high temperature and 115 miles.

I road through Los Alamos, Los Olivos, Goleta and back to Lompoc.

The weather is changing with rain Monday through Friday.

Pictures taken on Hwy 1 between Lompoc and Gaviota.

Lite rain today did not stop me from getting out and riding on Hwy 33 as it has been closed since last winter where the road was washed out in numerous places, it is still a mess with 5 places where the road is one lane with a red light.

Did 295 miles today in Santa Barbara, Ventura, Kern, and San Luis Obispo Counties.

Started out this morning with dense fog but then this afternoon it cleared out to become one of the last nicer days of this year so I broke away and went out for a ride. Tomorrow and Christmas day are expected to be around 100% rain. VERY unusual for central Iowa for Christmas. Average temps are supposed to be 31F/14F and equal chances of snow but we are getting between 40F-50F for highs and maybe as low as 31F for lows.

It was partly cloudy and right around 50F the entire ride (+/-2F). Rode about 49 miles staying as much out in the country as I could... except my wife asked if I would stop by the store for a Pineapple so I did that at the end just before stopping to fill up the tank.

BTW - In my previous post pics you can see I still had my Kemimoto handlebar muffs on. My hands were roasting most of the ride. I just didn't feel like removing them since next week starts a cold spell with more normal temps. I should have worn my summer gloves.

I don't think mine is the only one, as it seems I've seen pictures of others like mine. :) Come on! It would be great to meet you and ride with you. Let me know when you want to go check it out and we can figure out the logistics.

My last ride of 2023. It was nice sunny day +9C (48F "for you at the other side of the pond"), rode to closed mountain border check point between Turkey and Georgia (again, not the one that you used to know)) Guards asked to delete pictures, sorry for that( Enjoyed nice views of untouched country.

Visited ruins of VI BC Gvara temple on the way back home, was quite nervous on wet concrete roads.
