What did you do with your ST1100/ST1300 today?

rode down to Ace Hardware to pick up a 12mm x 1inch socket head bolt and nut to check my front brake rotor bobbins after reading about checking/cleaning them this morning. Just finished with the work. All the bobbins rotated easily.
 
@Paul That is so cool! I just had Wilbers front springs installed (professionlly done btw. And made a video about it:
part 2 will be aired this Friday). I will go for the Wilbers Nivomat on the rear. You have that one aswell? Is it nice?! Can't wait to have the bike fully on Wilbers! :woohoo:
 
Dropped it on the drive manoeuvering it out of the garage to put a freezer in

Mirror popped off as it caught against the wall , but looks like no damage done
Grey plastic wing is looking a bit worse for wear , but they seem to be available from David Silver's
 
I winterize by bike on Sunday. I usually do a Christmas Tree drive 1st

Drained main and lower tank, no rust or debris in either, replaced fuel filter, cleaned the 5 way tees, both were clean, cleaned/lubed the idle wax valve bushing and then contemplated why I haven’t installed my SMC and flushed/bled my brakes..
 
Checked tyres and oil, then had a very nice toodle round the lanes, taking advantage of a warm and dry spell. Had to keep a sharp look-out for farm debris left on the roads - but it was great to get out....
 
Let me clarify.. I am not riding either so no danger of brakes locking up on me. I was supposed to start with the brake fluid flush but I checked the SMC and it could be my rear brake caliper because it is not clean. So I decided to order the SMC, thermostat, fuel filter, etc.
I neglected to order the water pump housing gasket/seal and now i’m thinking about replacing the flange bearings, wheel bearings and rebuilding the calipers.. so I still have a lot to do.
Still have to pull the radiator, clean it and drain and flush the coolant but covid is making getting rid of antifreeze responsibly a chore!
The one place that we had stopped during the 1st shutdowns.
May try Goodyear where I take my company vehicle to see if they’ll take it. I offered to pay a couple of local shops and they flat out said no!

Because I threw my cold weather work gloves in the back of my trailer and since the rear is a pull down and it is parked too close to the garage door, I had to open up the top box on the :bk13: and get out my winter riding gloves, so I could go clean the driveway of 2" of snow/ice with my snowblower.

They worked pretty good! The gloves, that is, I made sure I did not get them wet!
 
Well, got in a New Year's day ride which also turned out to be my coldest on the 1300 to date at 32°F.

My 2022 mileage is officially not zero! (a paltry 25mi)

When my wife saw this she asked if there is a ride in deepest snow contest. Me, Maybe on the KLR forum.
So I cranked up the heat, overhauled and bled the front brake lever circuit.
Waiting for rear caliper pistons.
This just wouldn’t rub out.

Checked and pumped the tyre pressures up
Was handling like a supermarket trolley last outing
Quite an effort to make it corner
Pressure were 35 each end
Pumped up to 42psi with my new Stop and Go tyre kit as suggested on here
Test run next week ..
