What did you do with your ST1100/ST1300 today?

Yes. I live in Pickering.

I had trouble getting the bike upstairs , around the railing into the bedroom, so I left her outside. Maybe next winter I will build a small shed for her and I. LOL
 
Having fitted Helibars some time ago the handlebar cover is removed and stored securely - somewhere.
I've polished the top yoke but today I noticed that the steering stem nut and washer have started to rust slightly. So today I took em off and cleaned em up! However I wonder can any of you genius types provide me with information to replace them with stainless steel items? An engineering description would be really helpful too.
 
Went for a 50 miles ride on the ST getting ready for the RTC in Zoflo Springs a couple of weeks ago and the FI light came on. Code 26! Thinking the worst and not having time to work on it prior to the trip, I took the Goldwing instead, (325-mile round trip). So this afternoon I took it on another 50-mile trip to run some errands and coming home ran it up to 4500 rpm and held it there for a couple of miles in 4th gear since I was riding in a 55-mile zone. No more FI light! So that brings up a question, why did the fault light indicating a faulty knock sensor come on and then not come on again?
 
So these arrived today. The black strip on the left are white LEDs that will go below the taillight to illuminate my plate after I replace the taillights with red LEDs. Don't want to give Officer Obie any reason to pull me over.

The others are a strip of three amber LEDs to go on the mirror edges to remind me that my signal's on. The pitch of the LEDs appears exactly 2x the little slots in the trim at the outer mirror edge so if I just drill out every other one in my mirror they should fall in seamlessly.

Lunch ride and a Monument photo opportunity. Good lunch spot on US65 in southeast Arkansas. There isn’t anything remaining of the actual internment camps in the area except the graveyard at Rohwer which also has a crumbling monument to the 442nd Infantry Regiment. That’s near Watson Arkansas and deserves a visit. Well......I took the key out to the bike, inserted and turned it until lights started blinking and flashing. Took a picture of the odometer for registration and turned it back off. Closed the door.
Maybe next week I'll do more.

Yahoo!! Got Darth out of his winter slumber. Stored in trailer, in building. Battery was a little weak. But it fired on about the fifth turnover. Tires were up, time for a quick ride to top off the tank. Yahoo, give it a polish in the morning and make it ready for a little road time before it gets cold again. Come on Spring..!!!

But did you get all ATGATT'd up to do this?
 
Recently noticed that the inside of my tank was badly rusted. Got a £30 replacement from that STore of goodies - eBay - and started cleaning and painting the outside of it. White spirit to get the oily muck off and a wire brush to get rid of the flaky paint areas. In due course I'll swap them over since the new one is in excellent order inside.

I was thinking of fitting a fuel tail-tank a la Ron Major but I don't know if it would be legal in the UK? Anybody know?
