What did you do with your ST1100/ST1300 today?

Actually, it started on Saturday. I sold my 2010 ST1300 to a guy who texted me on Sunday and said he didn't want it. So, TODAY (03/15/2021) I'm taking back possession of her.

Well yesterday I did a thing. Mounted a pair of Oznium 1.2" amber LEDS into my mirrors yesterday. I wanted this done before I finish my gear indicator install inside my instrument pod with its new BlueGauges LED upgrade. Nothing new about these LEDs here; I'm just repeating what many others in the forum have done before me. Thanks for the pointers to Oznium. Good stuff there.

I'll share more in a post in ST1300 Tech later, but for now I'm pretty pleased with how they turned out. Not only did I modify the plastic grill at the outer edge of each mirror to hold the LEDs, but I replaced those two gawd awful connectors Honda chose for the turnsignal/indicator lights with more familiar Hitachi connectors. Three conductor ones for the turnsignals and two conductor for the LEDs. They can be disconnected from the main harness independently. I'll be loading them up with dielectric grease before I button everything up.

Plus, I finally encountered a legit application for hot glue on a motorcycle - holding those LEDs to the back of the mirrors!

You're 10 days fast - today is the 15th. At least where I live... :) Maybe you took the "spring forward" thing a bit too far?

How does selling then not selling affect the title history? Or had the title not yet changed hands? In Maryland, the seller has to fill in the odo reading, buyer's name and address, and sign it over on the back of the title. I have no idea how I would handle a sale that fell through (or if I even would) after I handed the title over.

Looks like the mirror LEDs lie just outside the mirror glass; hard to tell in that 3rd pic.
Would you mind one more pic with the lights off, please?
And it looks like Oznium also sells the F2 LED light "bulbs" that are the defacto standard for the 1300.
Thanks @STRider - that looks good!

First, thanks for pointing out the date mistake, must be heavy thumbs, thought I typed 15 :thumb:.

As for the second part, I was in the process, but had not yet submitted the proper docs to CA DMV. I don't know what I'll do about the title, it was filled out as specified. I guess I'll have to telk to the DMV. I was surprised by this action, and I had to mull over the decision, but ultimately, I want this ST to go to a good home. Somebody who will treat her with the respect she deserves. Some flake that turns around in a day and wants to renege on the deal is not entitled to that bike.

Yes, they are outside the glass in that plastic frame area with the holes, whose real purpose only Honda knows. Not my finest plastic carving work, but what you see from the outside looks fine. I removed a ridge on the backside with a sanding drum on my Dremel to make it flat and thin enough for the LEDs to be roughly flush with the frontside when done.

Don't look here!

With the stuff I mount in the dash area - GPS, phone, charger, whatever - varying parts of my stock instrumentation may be obscured from time to time... and leaving my turn signal on, while rare for me, invites unnecessary hazards.
Thank you.

My motivation was that even with a bare dash those indicators on the instrument panel lie out of my line of sight. I never rode as far with an indicator on as I have with the 1300!

Doing the wiring the way I wanted was the most annoying part. My big box of Hitachi connectors have been a great asset.

Since the sale was not completed you may be able to apply for a replacement copy of the title.

Yes, I believe you are correct. I did a cursory check of the DMV web site and I can order a replacement.

I washed the ST after recent trip to Daytona Beach. The downpour in SC washed away the Salt. One of the most difficult mototcycles to wash, this thing has more angles than a career politician. Not going to be a show bike. Definatly a Rider.

I did six hours on the bike the day before yesterday and was sore as hell yesterday! I'm getting old! Today, I'm installing some new goodies!

Today I went to the dmv to get my tag. But they told me it needed to be inspected first. So I went to an inspection station and talked crappie fishing with the owner. On my way home I saw a guy going the other direction in a nice black ST11. Wondered if he was on here!

I installed a new alternator and wire harness for the alternator on my 07 ST1300, this is not a job for the faint of heart!! I am still waiting on some hoses for the bike so I can replace them while I am in there. My alternator was leaking oil out of the O-ring as it was stretched out of shape, the oil finds it's way down the back of the engine on the right side and made a mess inside the "V". If you use a socket with a swivel on the extension you can get to the bottom bolt with no problems. It was fun trying to line up the gear to get it back in.
