What did you do with your ST1100/ST1300 today?

I raised my bars way up. Original Helibars all the way up atop 3" riser clamps:

Well, they look nice! Did the filters and topped off the radiator today. Installed my 595’zumo. Tomorrow? New bridgestones. Im running out of time. I want to leave around the fifth.

I like that. I bet's it's comfortable.....I may have to consider something similar. I have the heli risers as well , but no where near that height.

It is comfy. I'm 6'3", and you can see how tall the side panel of the RDL seat is.

I've been asked to post a pic of me sitting on it, which I will do soon.

Good idea! Be nice to see your arm position. I'm 5'10" , but have a tall torso. I find I sit high and would benefit from taller bars.

Installed a NEP throttle lock. $23 had to pull grip away from switch housing a bit. Grap the grip with pliers after removing bar end. A shot of compressed air and it jumped into place. After a few turns of adjuster screw it works great.

The previous thread was deleted due to performance issues.

So, we'll start this one again.
Took off some of the tupperware and changed my filters. They were raunchy, so I'm glad I did! Removing the tupper was much easier than I thought! I have a fan problem. It rarely comes on! So, I pulled the wire off the sensor and sanded the terminal. Let's see if that helps. I'm trying, unsuccessfully, to not spend more money. Installed my gps ( my thanks to Coop and Mellow!) and generally wiped off a bit of road grime. I arrived home and my Tires were delivered! Gonna get them on Monday. My apartment is filled with boxes from deliveries as I get ready to go. I'm debating installing 2" bar rizers. I'm a bit too forward on my corbin and wonder if the little 2"ers will do anything. At this point, I really dislike going to work. My head is on the road trip. I'm thinking about giving my client the bad news and shutting it all down and leaving.

Because I live in the city, and who knows which cop will be driving by, I have to do my work stealthy. I did this work behind a closed church on a quiet street.

I put a couple of washers between the bar-end weight and the bar end for my NEP to fit.

Sometimes coincidence is on my side.
I sold the last of my classic bikes about this time last year. Recently I went through our sheds and my closet clearing out junk and rounded up a few boxes of parts I didn't remember having. Inside was a brand new brake master cylinder for a Magna 1100....left over from a repair ages ago.
Yesterday the front brakes on our ST1100 went spongy and wouldn't bleed. My pc part list didn't show I had a rebuild kit so I replaced the ST MC with the Magna unit. Works fine and bled FAST. Looks a bit different....threaded mirror lug and the adjustable lever wouldn't fit but I was rolling again in an hour.
Will be ordering a rebuild kit tonight.

Yesterday - Sunday 28th Feb ... ...
Nice day for a change, (Dry, 12*C and no wind) so ideal chance to get "LOX" out for a short run. Up along the coast as far as Pennan, which is a quaint little fishing village on the North East coast of Scotland.
Pennan was firmly put on the "tourist map" as being one of the prime locations for the 1983 film "Local Hero", about a US oil mogul trying to buy a Scottish village.

Here's a few snaps-

Black ominous clouds came over, so time for home ... ...

(think I did more miles than the whole of last year ... ... 147 ...)
Thanks for sharing your 'coastal' ride pics. Got to get out there sometime - - - maybe on a bike?
I usually don't mind those riding in those temps. We've had some warmer than usual temps here lately. Doing a suspension mod before the season starts. Riding until the parts arrive. I'm DIY guy so it might be down for a bit.
Ride safe. Stay safe.
