What did you do with your ST1100/ST1300 today?

Yes, I’m in between tire changes and the potential issue was bought on recent ride with dduelin. I looked at my stems and they looked a little... bent. So I got work straightway on a temp solution. :biggrin:Thanks for the comments and recommendations!:thumb:

I don't believe he 'had' to. He just managed to. And then fixed it.

correct- I installed them, but once I turned them on and illuminated the upper wall and ceiling quite well I thought "that doesn't seem right".....

mild exaggeration but you get the point

It occurred to me that I could explain a bit more that might help someone else who buys that kit. Unlike the stock bulb, for this kit the mounting ring (that you cut the two lower tabs off of) is separate from the bulb assembly. You place the mounting ring in the faring headlight mount, then the bulb assembly twist locks into the mounting ring, then the bulb can be aimed by turning the bulb within the mounting ring up to another half-turn. There is no indication on the bulb or the mounting ring which direction is "up", and you can do the initial twist lock the bulbs in either of two opposing positions- right side up or upside down. So, of course......

Wiped the bike down to get all the road grime off it after a couple trips in the rain. It looks much better when it's clean!

Rode 260 miles on my new to me Sargent Seat on Saturday. Was hoping it would better than the Spencerized seat it replaced, but my backside was hurting somewhat after 200 miles. Spencer seat would get me 400 miles before I had to get off for a while. I still need a seat pad, I guess.

It isn't clear how "new to you" compares to "old to the guy I got it from", but it took me about 2000 miles to break in my last Sargent seat (or maybe my butt). After that I loved it...

Besides washing the :bl13: on Saturday, I had to fix the left side saddlebag locking mechanism.

Ever since the accident, and also replacing the saddlebag lid, it has been a bit hard to open or close. So I pulled off the handle and replaced a couple of parts in it (the locking part that slides the catches) and one of the handle holds. Numbers 12 & 13 in the picture. And yes, I had the parts on hand. ;)

Working much better now! :hat3:

I have only ridden the seat about 400 miles. I will give it a chance. Supposedly, it only had a few thousand miles on it per the PO and it looks like it was hardly used...

Its 25 degrees outside so the ST is tore down to replace Audiovox vacuum CC with an electric Rostra.

I gotta go get a front tire today. Down to about 1/2mm to the wear bars
Choice is a Michelin Road 5 GT. Im told the GT has a stiffer sidewall for heaver bikes.

Am impressed with 4GT as well. Have the 4GTs on the 01 and the 5GTs on the 09.

Have only 500 miles on each set...they're barely broken in.

The good news is am gonna be on a nice new RDL seat with driver's backrest next week. Then, on with some winter riding in SOCAL.

Heard some hype about these tires going 10 to 15 thousand miles. That would be cool.
