What did you do with your ST1100/ST1300 today?

VERY cool. Even with the fuzzy pic I could tell what they were. Two of my favorite aircraft!

The problem wasn't that your phone went dead. It was that you were 3/4mi away from an airshow!!

Yeah, but the tires had priority! :shrug1:

Serviced the side stand on the 09. Pulled it completely apart, cleaned, inspected, and reassembled it.

Naw, used a little dab of red grease instead....

Got to ride in an ambulance, while the 2010 ST1300 got a ride on the back of a wrecker, to home!

And I just put tires on it! :doh1:

Ruh Roh, Rorge. That does not sound good. [Edit: just saw the History Repeats Itself thread and read the story. Glad you are no worse off than you are. How did the driver at fault react / behave?]

Discovery during inspection today.
Black crud baked on the exhaust manifold.
Water jacket corrosion.

Plugged in the BatteryTender so it's ready to go this weekend, provided it warms up some, while I replaced brake pads, rotated tires, and changed oil/filter on the Ram.

I followed this post....

And did this mod to my 2000 ST1100.

With just the running lights.

This is with the new LED replacement kit with the extra light strips in the sides.

Tightened up the exhaust manifold nuts, regapped the plugs, inspected front and sides of engine, coolant system, and wiring harness. Polished all the skins taken off. Got the gouge from NGK tech support USA and subsequently ordered some of the IX NGK plugs. Marveling at the engineering, what a grand machine.

And to all a good night.

Went to the local Honda dealer to pick up a side cover fastener. Glanced at the new Wing on the showroom floor and realized how lucky us ST owners are with that extra $15K in our pockets! Serviced the rear shock pre-load adjuster and installed a new battery. Might warm it up and change the oil later.

Got everything swapped over to the 2012 for commuting. As soon as my wrist heals enough, I'll be back at it! :bk13: :hat3:

Took apart, cleaned, lubed and reassembled the locking mechanism on both side cases. First one took two hours. Second one took one hour. Both now work like new! :)

AV8R, is that a HUD type display of your speed? Pretty cool, where do we get that!?

Rode to work and home; high 30s departing both locations, down to below freezing arriving both locations. Plan to do it again tomorrow as long as it's still dry. [which it was, mid 30s both ways]

Took a ride for a couple hours and the left fork seal is pissing all over the place. I'll try to clean it out tomorrow and hope that does the trick.

Just got around to installing my F2 LED headlights on the Honda ST after my HID lights finally died. Nice and bright!

Pulled the upper tank on the 09. That was fun, almost as much fun as removing the oil filter with a hammer, drift, and hose clamp...

Changed the oil, filter, and installed some NGK plugs.

Once again, the secret to success is not to get in a hurry.
