I assume this is a stylized radio of some kind? Any additional info or a link?

In keeping with this thread I thought about putting my 2020 license tab on the ST but didn't get roundtuit. :)

Congrats on your first oil change.
What oil did you use? :bigpop:

Gosh Jim, just trying to :potstir1: things up a bit huh? :rofl1:

I turned 25,000 on my 2012 :bk13: today. It only took my 4 years to get there! :shirt1:

I'll be doing an oil change this weekend on it (Jim, need to know which oil I use?) then swap the two bikes so I'm commuting back on the 2010 :bl13: again.

Past few days, got my trailer new shoes (5.70 x 8 replaced old 4.80 x 8) and the wheel bearings cleaned and repacked.

I can feel an improvement in pulling, and no response to an intentional handlebar wiggle that I felt a bit before.

Need a couple of fenders and to get the lighting wired.

Began a little more refurbishment on my 1991 yesterday. In the process of rebuilding a spare carb bank. I got them cleaned up and presentable. The butterfly linkage was stiff as were the vacuum pistons. Got that all sorted out and the orifices cleaned and jets replaced. Did all four air valves as well. I'm suspecting someone cleaned them in the past since inside the carbs were clean but the jets were all plugged. Never saw that before. Tomorrow I replace all the hoses and plastic connectors. Once I'm happy with my handywork, I'll remove the originals, replace the water elbows and all the hoses in the 'V'...and clean the $%#t out of everything. Thinking of replacing the fuel pump and level sensor while I'm at it. With the tank removed I can clean and inspect the rest of the bike that I can't see otherwise. I have new manifold/seals, filters and snorkels. I'll have a lot of shelf and pegboard space open and a bit more peace of mind when I'm finished. I will have checked everything on the bike with the exception of engine internals in the last three years....riding it between chores. In the meantime we still have the ST1300 to ride.

Since my 2012 :bk13: turned 25K last week, I celebrated by changing its oil! When I first started, I got on my back to break the oil drain plug loose, and noticed something very strange. Now, I have been saying for years that I hardly ever replace my drain plug washers. I just flip them over and reuse them. So as I was getting ready to remove the drain plug, I looked at it and thought, I need to take a picture of this....

I know it's not real clear, but look at all the oil mess I have from reusing those drain plug washers! :rofl1:

Now of course, this was only after the 5th oil change. 600, 5K, 10K, 15K & 20K. So, we see it at the 25K and see if there is much change!

And BTW, the oil change went well. It now has fresh oil in it...

Yes, 5 wires breaks the turn signals out separate from the brake signal. This is how your ST13 is.
Well, it's an 11, but who's counting? But yes, the 11 and 13, and just about every bike made, would use a 5-wire connection.

I have a matching plug and socket, and a bracket if necessary; I'm trying to decide where on the bike to mount the socket.

With new tires (5.70 x 8 vs 4.80 x 8) with higher load and speed ratings, and cleaned and lubed bearings., it pulls very well.

I temporarily powered the lights with test leads; I'm going to have to do a bit of troubleshooting to get them all working.

25k....

got socks with more on them

HA! That's my "Young One" :nanner1:

My original '05 ST1300 was sold with 174.3K on it...my son is still riding with 188K
My commuter bike, the 2010 :bl13: has 91K on it
My old commuter bike was my '04#2, I sold it after putting 50K on it!
My '04#1 is sitting waiting for me to replace the water pump and a number of other things...I put 37K on it before parking it 5 years ago. (It actually has 68K on it.)

So when I bought the 2012, in September 2015, I wanted it mostly for long rides. And it plays backup for the 2010.

And all of this is since November 2005... How many miles did you say you've put on ST1300s? :well1:

So you can keep your socks! :rofl1:

I have a matching plug and socket, and a bracket if necessary; I'm trying to decide where on the bike to mount the socket.

Mounted mine on the tow hitch bracket itself. Had a budy weld (stainless, out of my league) two tabs on the bottom side and then I drilled and tapped the holes. If I pull the tow bar off the bracket will come with. That was my original thought, but since I have my tool box now mounted on the tow hitch also, it is pretty much a permanant fixture.
