What did you do with your ST1100/ST1300 today?

Left one is binding on the cover when opening or closing. Guess I will have to do some trimming.

Yeah, they areN'T "perfect", but with the four sets I've had, I've never had any major issues with them.

Rode it from Suches, Georgia to Toronto, Canada.

+25°C in Suches, +4°C in Toronto. Endured freezing rain for the last 3 hours of the ride.

Should have stayed in Georgia...

Today I decided to recover a Corbin saddle that I bought used last fall. It was in rough shape. The old cover came off ok but still a struggle. I’m covering it in tan leather, adding some foam, like I did with the red leather cover. I also decided to make this one a heated unit. I had some extra carbon fibre ribbon so I made a heated pad for the drivers section.
I can understand why some find this seat uncomfortable. This model is a plastic web cover with no foam attached. My other one had 1/8” foam because of the sewing pattern. I opted for 1” foam and did the Corbin quilted sewing pattern.
The first photo shows the heating pad, the second I’m a third of the way sewing, and the last photo is the original cover in all it’s torn up glory. I hope to finish the project tomorrow. I know it’s not red!

The 1" foam sounds like a winner.
Waiting to see the final product.
You should go into the seat building business. :)

Finally installed the projector led's in the position lights, what a difference...

Took apart saddlebag locking mechanisms, cleaned, lubed, and re-tightened the latches to make them operate smooth as butter.

Currently uninstalling the power cord to my Givi E52 top box to relocate it to a less conspicuous location in the top box. So after the uninstall, I mixed some epoxy to fill the screw holes and hole, will sand it tomorrow, re-fill any areas that need a little more love, sand again, re-paint, then install the power cable in its new location. Gonna be a pretty good weekend.

I checked STella’s air filter, even after the parts guy at the dealer told me they did a “full service”. Found a K&N that looked clean and recently oiled. I’ve always been an OEM type of guy but STella runs great. The brake and clutch fluid look really clean too. I guess I should trust them...

Rode the 06 in rain and fog to pick up a $50 Corbin seat in good condition for the 95 project. Put all but mirror covers on the 03. 03 almost ready for commuter duty.

Got my bag guards on. Went for an 80 mile ride with the wife. Stopped to eat, and when I tipped the bike to the right to swing the kickstand down, wifey thought we were falling, and scooted right to try to put her foot down. THEN IT REEEEEALLY GOT HEAVY!! OMG! I thought we were going over. Jeez, I've trained that woman for years to hold still as a passenger until the stand is down!! So, I almost got to test the crashbars!! o_O

Ha! You almost joined the tip over club.
When the ST wants to go down, there's almost no stopping her. :)

Slimey Crud Run. Preztel @ Grumpy Troll in Mt Horeb. 180+ miles. First oil change on new kid in ride group. Two chains cleaned and oiled. Now watching Motogp post mortem. What a great day. Yes sir can I have another.

Been there... I’m a little too short for STeve so we’ve definitely tested the crash bars and my ability to get him back up I have decided that I’ll not be carrying a passenger

It's all good. Sooner or later we all discover the propensity of the ST to take a nap. :)

But a passenger could help me lift it!!

Took my windscreen off and removed scratches and dullness from it with 3000 grit sandpaper. I then polished it with car wax.
