The bike behind me bumped me

Fact is the other bike was just too close
Yep. 'This guy was anticipating...' was the problem. Or he wasn't anticipating his speed being too fast for conditions i.e. you not moving.

I hope he's making restitution. Under different circumstances he could have earned a performance award.

A good example why I'm very leery of riding with strangers.
+1!

Actually got a ride in after snow melted. A good 2 hours. Rain until Friday. Only 315 miles for 2019. Not bad for 1 week. This shall not stand. See you all out there.

We were riding staggered, or at least those in from of me were. Can't say for those behind at the light/sign. This guy was anticipating my move so no room for something going wrong. Fact is the other bike was just too close.

Sounds like a good reason to find other places to be when he is on the road.

Never even offered. One of the other guys behind me told me who it was, so I won't be riding with him behind me again. Most of these people I ride with a couple of times a month and they are all experienced riders. The guy that rear ended me I have only ridden with once before..

It might be wise to get his insurance info and start a claim.
Since he never even offered to make your 'whole', it sounds as though he's not even thinking to do 'the right thing'.
Please keep us up to date as to whether or not he 'comes through'. :law1:

Checked tyre pressures & added a few pounds back and front. I run 42psi rear and 38 front with the BT023s which suits the way I ride (mostly solo) and the way I have set the bike up. Went for a 20 mile ride to help scrub in the new rubber. Off to the other side of Truro tomorrow for staff training day! that will put another 60 miles on them so should be good to ride properly by the weekend!

New clutch fluid yesterday......got the Helibars on,.........I'm running out of things to do to my "new" 05 ST. It, and my WeeStrom, are nearly as bored as me. These April showers are really getting on my nerves!

I am making an attempt to find out who it was. I am more concerned about people learning to ride safely than I am about the minor damage to my bike. It's only a $25 dollar part and I may or may not replace it..

+1 What that guy did and what he failed to do is totally unacceptable. There's no way he can justify the collision. How you handle it is your business of course but all kidding aside the damage is more than a bump and you shouldn't have to eat that.

Installed MCL highway blades this morning. Covers don't fit as well as the stock covers, Now I have to take a ride to check them out.

Where did you get the covers? The MCL Covers are just OEMs, cut to fit the blades!

The weather people were calling for "scattered showers" , so I rode in today!

Not sure if it was a mistake or not yet. I was able to get with only a little rain getting through my gear. I'll have to see if I get home as lucky!
