What did you do with your ST1100/ST1300 today?

I decided if I rode my bike to work, spring will come faster......LOL...... 37 degress brrrrrrr.... up to 42 now...lol oh well got some riding in....

The clamp was in good condition. As others have noted I believe these clamps are too narrow and allowed for a little seepage. Hardly enough to make it to the floor but enough to coat things along way and smell.

No pic now, however, this is at thermostat housing from right head.

Today the sun was shining in Holland, my ST asked if she could go outside without a coat. I agreed. Changed also her sparkplugs and airfilter.

You know the two “bolts” that hold the side panels on on an 1100? Well, mine are phillips head (1993, are other years different?) and stripped out. Theres a nice 5mm allen screwdriver in my kit, and alot of the other body fasteners are 5mm allen as well, so I bought 2 of the same bolt that hold the tank cover on at the top and some rubber washers at the hardware store to fill in the space, since the shoulder on the tank bolts are deeper. Fits perfect, and looks much better!

They're P3 on my '01, too.

More than likely not phillips, but JIS screws. People use phillips on JIS screws and that's why they get all messed up.

Here... try these instead as many of us old timers have (thanks, Warchild!):

After riding over 6,000 miles with a Corbin Dual Canyon seat I got from the PO, a beautiful seat that just didn't fit me well, I downgraded a couple of weeks ago back to the stock seat. THEN, I upgraded to a Russell Day-Long Saddle that arrived today from RockyHayes!!! I also bought his Rackman Highway Wings and his MCL Fork Brace! I hope Rocky enjoys his BMW! If anyone has the instructions on installing the MCL Fork Brace, I'd appreciate the guidance. From what I've found so far, there seems to be some varying opinions on the fork axle pinch bolts and the fork brace tightening sequence. Thanks!

Nice grab on all your ST upgrades. I would think the Super Brace instructions will be almost identical to the MCL.
How do you like the New seat?

I put the brace on yesterday! Easy enough, but having the instructions was definitely a help! Took a 150 mile ride this afternoon! See post #334.

+1 A Phillips driver on a JIS screw is asking for trouble.
