What did you do with your ST1100/ST1300 today?

When @Mellow bought his tire changer, I think mine was the first BT020 he changed. That was a difficult tire to get off the rim. lol

@Sparky1971 , how do you lean the bike in a curve, with a square tire like that ?

It seems this is the reason why motorcycle tires threads are rounded, and not flat like those of cars : because you lean the motorcycle to turn.

Anyway. Just asking. Let us know how you like them.

You'll like it until you go back to a motorcycle tire, then wonder why you kept the car tire on so long :rofl1:
Just don't make the mistake of neglecting your service stuff on the rear end just because the tire lasts longer.
The splines should still be done about every 10k miles (the amount of time of a normal tire change)

What a fun ride. Thanks Andrew.
Another good ride for you to try out Christian.

The oppressive heat and humidity that we have been experiencing for several weeks finally lifted. It was a perfect riding day with temperatures in the low 70's with low humidity and lots of puffy clouds for effect. I decided to go for a ride to have lunch out.

This was my lunch venue;

The sign behind my bike in the first photo is a placard with a map depicting a local motorcycle circuit that is about 100 km, 60 miles long.
Highway 347 is reputed to be the curviest highway in Québec. It was fun!

Rebuilt the rear master cylinder and replaced some coolant system parts. Still trying to figure out where the coolant leak is.

And poor me... I'll be in holyday for five weeks, in just a couple days.

I'll go try your route Andrew. This one and many others. Probably a good ride along Ontario 401. ;-)

I haven't been able to start the bike other than in neutral. I have already changed the clutch switch. I removed the lever to inspect it and the pivot hole is elongated and the brass switch bushing worn near through.PXL_20210904_163809505.jpgPXL_20210904_164312423~2.jpg
Welcome to my world of...."nothing is wrong with my bike" :rofl1:
