Nice work, if you can get it!
As touched upon in another thread I’ve got the fairings off doing some routine servicing on my new to me 1100. I hoped it was good underneath but I have been shocked by how little corrosion there is under there. After I cleaned the dust and dirt away it’s almost perfect clean shiny metal pretty much everywhere. it is low mileage at 12000 miles but is still 20years old so that’s plenty of time for it to rot away. Going to make sure I keep it nice.
That thar' lift is party snazzy on its own, too... who makes dat thang?
All the others look like 60s French cars, yours looks futuristic!! Very, very, awesome. And finally, yours truly
Removed 7’s but installed 8’s for this interval. 4, 3, 2, 1 in the pic. I am lead to believe that it is a science (or witchcraft) reading spark plugs. All I know is “one of these things is not like the other”. I will research to see if I can find out what the “rust coloured ring” means on number 3 but if there are any “readers” out there, I’m all ears.
Thanks for the feedback and the link @Paul.I had to look it up myself, been so long since reading plugs was a concern for me. It's called Corona stain, #2 in this link. https://ngksparkplugs.com/en/resources/5-things-you-should-know-about-spark-plugs
Maybe the plug boot was not completely sealed at the valve cover, or there may be a slight oil weep at the spark plug well o ring. Check that the plug well drain holes are unobstructed.
