What did you do with your ST1100/ST1300 today?

+1 Congratulations :thumb:

I was admiring your highway bars. They look as though they extend out further than any others I've seen.
Did you fabricate them yourself or did you find them for purchase?
They are from “TRex”. They outfit police bikes, I did have to fab up a bracket to attach them to.

We do that on the west coast too. Applause is spotty though. Perhaps we're more private, maybe.

A good sunset over the Adirondack mountains as seen from Vermont over Lake Champlain will definitely earn a round of applause. :)

I have been doing some major maintenance on my ST1300, I replaced the Turbo-Tom higher fuel pressure regulator with the stock one. I was surprised that my mileage had dropped almost 7 MPG so I pulled it apart again today and reinstalled the Turbo-Tom regulator and my fuel mileage is back to normal, not sure why but I am happy. I also did another throttle body sync.

One other thing that I did this time in the air-box was to cut two sections of 1" foam and installed in the section where the vent line comes up from the valve covers and leaves oil all over the air-box. This should soak up all of the oil and I will replace as needed.

Nice idea. Always difficult to see the exact shape from a front view, but I think that you might need a gradual slope at the front and a rounded top lip, otherwise the air flow will form eddies in front and behind and try to rip it off.

Thanks. I'm going to test numerous sizes, heights, and shapes. I know the OEMs were much larger and lower angle, but had to be bolted on, both which I don't like. I'm aiming for a much smaller, clip on style that would use a spoiler effect to kick the airflow over your hands just enough. And in the summer they can be removed when you want more air.

I was thinking of molding clay for making a wind deflector prototype and scanning.
I got a 3D printer a couple years ago, but haven’t got to creating my own designs yet.
Working on some homemade 3D printed hand deflectors. Still need some refining it getting closer... 16206026828454342173138895354814.jpg

I've only dabbled in 3D scanning...not as easy as I'd hoped to get a good model scan. Good luck!

I've started a new thread on this here:
