What did you do with your ST1100/ST1300 today?

Rode down to Columbia SC, picked up a seat, went to east of Knoxville TN Xenophon TN. Back to PHL.
I put the Garmin on track and it did but instead of taking a picture I saved it... no, it’s a Garmin. So I ended up with 1018 miles in 21 hours and 1600 ish in 31. Wow. I ache! Only picture except the 100 screen shots taking the phone out of the cradle CDF60DC7-8F28-469B-BA14-92823BECAD06.jpeg

Today was a subtastic day weather wise here in the County, so I decided to do a little maintenance job.
With help from the YouTube videos by 'GT Garage' and 'Just Plain Common Sense', I serviced the preload adjustor for the rear shock.
Roughly an hour's work. I replaced what was left of the original fluid with hydraulic fluid.
Works like a champ now.

You'll need the following-
5 mm Allen key for side panel
10 mm box end
15 mm open end to hold the adjustor body
Phillips screwstick
Syringe
Rags for spillage.

Rainy day, so I changed oil and filter in the 2006. On schedule, last change was 12 months ago.
This 1300 is boring. I just ride it. Nothing to fix. Nothing leaks so checks are obligatory.
Is it still April 1st?

Did you save the receipts for a Saddlesore 1000?

I took the lately rare opportunity to work on the 06A today.
I installed the mirror covers, belly fairings after clearing up some crossed threads, givi top case plate, the windshield that I trimmed up and trimmed down, left heated grip and bar end. Of course just as I am finishing the ST1100 helibar swap from the 06, I found another set of helibars.
And the most exciting thing was removing a right mirror deflector that I bought mounted to an 03 mirror cover. That completes a partial set that I found a year ago and relieves me of the decision of which black bike goes without deflectors or swapping around.
Next on the list, install laminar lip and mirror deflector kit.

Put a mirror in place of my busted right side until I can source some replacements or have a new mirror cut.

It’s a convex type, so I got good views with it, but I’m not confident the 3M double-sided tape I used is going to hold it long. And it’s really ugly.

I finished putting the Tupperware back on my bike.
Then I took my initiation ride on my ST1300, I was told it was fairly fast!
I can’t get the grin off my face!
I wound it out in 4th, up shifted into 5th @160 KPH, it felt like it was just getting started! It wasn’t even working!
I can see where I’m going to enjoy riding this more than my GL1500!;)

the only reason i still have my 1500 wing is because with over 105,000 miles on it no one wants to buy it

If you want something that will not come off, get PL300, you’ll find it at a hardware or building supply.
It comes in a tube for a caulking gun, it’s used to glue panels, etc on.
Edit:
I apologize for jumping over the OP.

Put on a concave mirror . . .

It’s a convex type . . .
Well, it can't be both.

Follow up to what did I do with my ST today...

Looked at it and thought, "Why aren't you electric?" after riding the Zero SR/F. Holy s#&% Margaret!! What a blast. The demo ride took us on some of the seriously twisty roads south of downtown Portland that weave through the hills. SW Terwilliger Blvd among them. Wild hooliganism without any of the acoustic drama to boot. :)

Must find room in garage. Well right next to an Indian FTR- Carbon. Another E-ticket ride on two wheels. Think what an SV650 that hit the gym hard might be like. And no, that wouldn't be the SV1000 or the TL1000. I've ridden those. It's light years better than them.

WOW!
