What did you do with your ST1100/ST1300 today?

I had a leak in my clutch cylinder losing fluid from the resivoir. I changed the cylinder, it was not fun!

New Tires mounted today. 24,746 miles out of the last set. Front was a (Rear) BT45 110/80H 18. Rear was the Michelin Commander II 160/70B 17. Had to go with the BT46 rear on the front this time. I will say I'm very pleased with the mileage out of these tires. Now I'm ready to Ride!

Rode from North Dallas area to Pueblo, CO today, about 675 miles. Got in early enough to have a nice dinner. Headed up to Ft Collins tomorrow for a few days of work at CSU, then a 3-4 day ride back home the long way. Was really windy today between Dalhart, TX and Raton, NM... some pretty serious cross winds. Uneventful ride overall though.

Did I just see these pics on FB?

My forks came back from rebuild. All reinstalled now,,, and ready for a test ride tomorrow. Cool,, but no rain in the forecast !! Great,, because we have been off the road for a week !! Brutal,,, CAt'

but I did order the Bike-Quip 22" screen... Pics to come when it arrives.
Looking forward to those. It's a bit wider at the base then I'd like, but it would be my pick for the next screen. I hope you ordered the IPS/P3 version.

See #2169, above.

I'll be honest, you're going to have to tell me about IPS/P3 so that I know if I ordered the correct one or not. Of course, it's on the bike anyhow.

I went to the post office to drop off a couple of packages my wife has neglected to send back for neigh on an age now... Then, standing in the parking lot I figured I should probably explore a bit. Found some nice twisty roads and had a great time. Turned about an 12 minute direct route into an hour ride and about 50 miles :run1:

Finally swapped my plugged rear tire. I did it myself using the (fantastic) advice found on the site. Zip ties - who knew? Eventually I’ll get around to posting a “how to”... or more appropriately the “how I did.”

After resolving the lack of a clutch issue the day before (lots of filling, bleeding and pumping of the clutch)....I tackled the brake flush as well...since neither had ever been done, to my knowledge...It was a family event...I operated the bleed nipple, ensuring the tube stayed on....the wife was in charge of monitoring the reservoirs and pumping the brake pedal or lever...the daughter was in charge of keeping the tube elevated to ensure no air got in....It was surprisingly easy with 6 hands. Clear fluid flowing through the system again...no bubbles, no leaks, all operating as it should.

Friend and I rode Soledad Cyn to Aliso Cyn to Angeles Forest Hwy to Big Tujunga Cyn to Little Tujunga Cyn / Sand Cyn to the Sand Cyn Truck Trail up past the Bear Divide Hotshots Fire Camp.
Up on top, great views overlooking the San Fernando and Santa Clarita Valleys.IMG_5129.JPGIMG_5131.JPGIMG_5133.JPGIMG_5136.JPG
