Pictures of different ST police bikes?

I have 3 pictures of the South Carolina Highway Patrol St's. They purchased the civilian version and had the equipment put on them. A SGt. and another trooper came to an in service class I attended and I was able to take the pictures. Problem is I cant get them to download. I get the error that says the dimension is 2000x2000 and my pictures are larger than that? Any idea how to make this work. I'm open for options.

You need to use a program to edit them. Your PC should have Microsoft picture editor...just open the picture with that or simular program and resize to fit. PM me if you need further.

lost you on the e mail today. I am an assessor for BIKESAFE NC and we had a class today. Its a class in which civilian riders come in and ride with Motor Officers. They sit through class portions of different aspects of motorcycle safety and then we ride with them. We follow behind them and watch them ride on about a 30 minute ride. Then we all eat lunch together and talk with the riders, giving them tips and instruction on what they can do to be a better/safer rider. After lunch, another short class session, then about an hour ride throughout town, county and interstate roads to see if they are using the suggestions. Really cool class, you can google it and get the details. We got a treat today, Pat Hahn was in the class and gave us all a copy of his book RIDE HARD RIDE SMART. We also had a Illinois State Trooper in class today and two Officers from Florida, they came to NC to see the course and take the week long assessor class. Rained on us all day,,,that kinda sucked. But thats why I have good rain gear.

Oh ya I have heard of this. Cool! And yes I was out in the rain too! (Well at least riding to and from the office.:p:)

We have a BikeSafe in the UK too - I am our force lead on the programme.

Would be interested how the BikeSafe NC works.

Here is a link to ours http://www.bikesafe.co.uk/

We do a full day 'workshop' where there is classroom input regarding RoadCraft, followed by Paramedic biker input re how to deal with First On Scene situatons then an accompanied rideout with assesment and feedback.
The course is refunded with vouchers for further training

Hoody - do you have any www.bikesafe.co.uk stickers small enough to fit between the bracket covers on the windshield?

I'd like one there but the usual ones are a bit too big. This FIRE bike has the size I'd like.

Ta! :p:

Here is a copy of the poster we are using now. They have still not updated it with all the new information. If you can make it out, you will notice the symbol for BIKESAFE LONDON on the bottom right corner.

TX DPS is LONG over due for something like this...of course they would need to step up and start a fleet of motors first....I mean again!

My brother is in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia and took a picture of a local police bike, or as they say polis. Not sure what agency it belongs to but figured I would post the pic. Nothing fancy.

Interesting radio hump...notice the box is hinged for the street side.

I don't know if anyone told you about ridethatbike.com.. go to the st1300 police link and click on deployments....Just dropped our bike to get striped today..I'll get picks up soon....

The ST 1300 is from San Bernadino County Sherrif's Department. the chopper is from the California Highway Patrol. I talked with the Motor Officer from SBC and he really likes the ST for a work bike, but rides a Road Glide for fun. He said he doesn't have to chase anyone on the HD. I didn't get any particulars on the CHP Chopper but it was at the Big Bear Choppers bike show this past weekend in Big Bear CA. Lots of very different machines at the show including a bunch of 23" ape hangers. Many of the bikes shown looked like they weren't good for a 25 mile ride including the CHP bike.

Pefectly summed up...:)

Yep! If all you have to do is sit back and enjoy the scenery then it might not be too bad of a bike. Although, after the frequent break downs I had to deal with from 03 until 07, I'd still be a little gun shy personally. On that note, I do love my K1200GT!

True true...and yes the new 1200's are very nice. But at 21K a pop for the PD version...we welcome the ST-P with open arms.:run1:
