Itchy Boots

Just imagine riding a Ducati Multistrada, or a KTM 1290 Adventure, or even the newer electronics-infested BMW 1250 GSs. Very complex, indeed, and backyard welders and child mechanics....
On the other hand, maybe a broken down 1250GS will be fixed in the hinterlands by a 13 year old kid with a ratty old laptop.

Okay, another FB post, but I don't have account, so can only screenshot... the latest, but a repeat if you're watching her past videos ... also changed her FB profile photo

However, I don't think anyone considers Noraly a tourist ... all it takes is an hour or two of dedicated research to conclude she's more of a "celebrity" , or better yet, a "cultural evangelist".
All the more reason to avoid Russia right now and for the foreseeable future.

Dear Noraly has far more sense than to put herself in a bad political situation, or somewhere with unreliable weather.
That's my take.

It's disappointing that all her news come currently seems to come from FaceBook but maybe that's a result of time crunch. I don't do FB either so will just Watch This Space for announcements.

I haven't seen every one of Noraly's vids this season but have seen several. So when I saw

Itchy Boots The Movie

I immediately downloaded it. Comfortably seated with a platter of steak fries and a tasty beverage I enjoyed nearly 90 min of some outstanding footage of her Alaska or Bust journey. Her editing skill made this a compelling watch including some really nice drone footage.

I don't know that there as any previously unseen footage in this movie. But even if there's nothing new this is a great recap of some highlights of her experiences and encounters.

Back in 2019 when @kiltman started this thread with her link and the understated "I think it’s worth checking out" I don't think he had any idea of the snowball he was rolling downhill. What hath kiltman wrought!

Anybody know how many subscribers she had back then? Today she has 1.53M and The Movie has 2.3M views with 16K+ comments. Not bad for a kid from Reseda. Uh– wrong thread.

Many here have extolled her virtues so there's no need to repeat them. Well maybe her unfailing positivity deserves another mention. It persists throughout her journey and that's incredible.

There is a lot of great viewing that just can't be included in one video so this doesn't replace watching all her episodes. But it's a great way to spend a relaxing hour and a half.

We have seen EVERY video Noraly has posted. And keep a proactive watch on anything upcoming.

When I first discovered Itchy (on my phone), I replayed that video up on our TV so my wife could watch. Initially, she thought I was only interested in the "blonde blue eyed" young woman.

Then my wife got hooked and actually coaxed me on Mon Wed and Fri to be sure we would watch Noraly's latest video !!

I'm amazed at Noraly's progress over the years, and her commitment to exploring the world on a motorcycle... there's a RARE few who do it.

She's amazing. Her recent ones about the Rally she did was awesome. Probably ride circles around all of us.

So, Noraly said she had to film her video while sitting in the corner of the room, because folks might guess where she is based on the wall plugs. I've listed the most used plugs, and I think we can rule out N America, much of Europe, Switzerland, and prob Italy.

And of course Australia, since she wanted to go "where they speak a language I am not familiar with".

So new location is still a big guess.

North America
The US, Canada, and Mexico rely on two standardized, as Type A and B.

Europe
Most of Europe uses the Type C plug, more commonly known as the Europlug.

It is used throughout the continent as well as the Middle East, Africa, some parts of South America, central Asia, and the many ex-Soviet satellite states.

Germany
Type F "Schuko" 16A, 250V outlet is used. Other Schuko users: Albania, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Chile, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Indonesia, Iran, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Republic of Macedonia, the Netherlands, Norway, Pakistan, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, Ukraine, and Uruguay

United Kingdom
Uses Type G, also used in Republic of Ireland, and Hong Kong, Cyprus, some parts of Malaysia, Singapore and Saudi Arabia.

Switzerland
Use 10A, 250V Type J plugs

Italy
Type L is used.

In Australia
Type I is used, to include New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands.

I KNEW IT! I should have bought a lottery ticket! I figured she was going to North Africa as she had so much fun in the southern parts of Africa! And I was right!

There was a moment that she was nearly taken by a scammer at the ferry terminal…it can happen so fast. The guy was dressed in a safety vest guiding her to park her bike…he sure disappeared fast when the security guard appeared. I’m sure it momentarily caught her off guard.

Some questions about her gear....
While riding, there is a rod sticking up on the right with a small box atop it. I assume this is another camera?

Noraly is wearing a Rev'it neck brace. Did she discuss why she needs this in an earlier video?

She is wearing a hydration pack (I think) and the heavy strap over her right shoulder might be part of this rig. Over her left shoulder there is a slightly smaller strap with a small pouch for a multi tool? Leatherman style? Swiss army knife?

Any other comments about her gear? She now looks like a professional at this RTW touring...not some sweet young thing who set off with grand ideas wearing what she had....

What kind of GPS is she now using - that big screen front and center?
