Itchy Boots

She will head on to Baghdad where she will try to find a repair shop. Baghdad?????? What could go wrong.
I believe she will continue to push the envelope of safety till something bad happens. I enjoyed her travels, especially through Scandinavia. But smart people don't go to places that are like war zones. And in that part of the world, gang rape is just a fact of life. I hope I'm wrong.

She seems to think she is untouchable. Like she is traveling the world with her personal iron dome about her

I think she's well aware of the risks (risks, that I myself wouldn't take) and she also knows that it's a significant part of the the reason for her popularity.

We take calculated risks all of the time. For her, the risks are worth the benefits. The benefits being that she's having a good time and her followers, like me, enjoy seeing her adventurous rides. But, speaking for myself, she needn't be quite so adventurous to hold my interest. I don't enjoy worrying that her risks may be too great.

IIRC, the bike was set up to run w/ minimal electrics. What she will have to do is restore lighting and power to the computer/gps, etc. Should not be too hard a task. Does this bike have a magneto and can she run with NO other wiring?

She's been pretty lucky given the places she's ridden. But, she only shows us what she wants us to see, we don't really see everything.

She enjoys what she's doing, hard to argue with that risk vs reward.

She is pushing the envelope on safety and, IMO, it's not really necessary. I think 99% of her followers would continue to support her even if she omitted some of the very dangerous places she travels. Travelling in Iran is foolish, and really adds nothing to her blog or YT page.

One is better received in the country vs. the cities. Does not matter what part of the world one traverses. People are people with the same wants, desires and curiosities no mater what part of the world they are in. Countries / Cities all have their bad places and bad segments of populations within them. It is up to one to consider, do diligence, and weight the risks, one is willing to take at the time. There are places here in Denver I will not go to after a certain hour base on my risk tolerance. More power to the young lady and I hope she has Fair Winds and Followings Seas in her travels. With that said, she goes to some places I have no interest or desire to go, but I find her travel log interesting. If I were younger I might even change my mind on those destinations.

Yesterday’s episode was supposed to be her planning to leave Iraq…..
For the most part Noraly endeavours to have her bike hidden away within the compounds of the establishment she is staying in, with goal to not have the bike stolen or vandalized.
A couple of years ago I had my Vespa vandalized in a parking garage of the apartment building in downtown Winnipeg! I was not a happy camper. I ended up putting the bike in storage for the duration of my contract. The year before I was staying in another short term residence a few blocks away from the other property, I had no issues, I was able to ride the Vespa to work everyday;)

100% on target.
Watching her clips, one can sense that there's more going on behind the camera. You see what you allowed to see, and you hear what you allowed to hear.
Heck, she could have been raped in some shady places of Africa or Middle East, but you're going to see a smiling face as nothing happened.

She must have few mils $ by now and can do whatever, but now she's not a type who would idle in the office even if being a boss of her own business. She must be on the road, and on a dangerous road to boot. From chasing likes and views which translated to $$, now it probably became just an addiction for danger and adventures.
Although she has done riding thru Iran and Pakistan in the beginning (which made her famous), and she got the feeling of invincibility.
Worth to say that she does her "homework" well too.

In any case what she does is more than a fulltime job and she deserves to be respected from her followers and haters (who're plenty of as well).

It is more likely than not she will fall prey (if she does) so some random thief rather than someone who targets her. A case of simply being in the wrong place at the wrong time, nothing more. I'd suspect she pretty much takes care of her routing and has contacts in many of the countries she rides through.

I just watched the 2 last clips. She's in the Kurdish part of Iraq. This part is relatively safe. Nevertheless, you don't see women walking alone. All males on the streets and that's how it "supposed" to be in those parts of the World. But when she moved to the Suni or Shia areas... she can find herself in some iffy situations. Women have to be covered (not necessarily fully) and be accompanied by man. Erbil to Baghdad (I think she said that she's going next) is a hike getting thru a questionable area.
Iran is next? Hmmm, if Israel will strike it soon, it all can get messy. I hope she has where to stay safely.
Will check her progress.

This is how I feel. Like her or not, she has worked very hard for 8 seasons now, at not only creating a brand for herself, but has upped her game in the video production arena as well.
It looks good on the screen, the audio is clear, and she has developed a workflow that that allows her to consistently crank out high quality videos 2 to 3 times per week. Consistency is vital in building a loyal YT audience that still continues to grow, as hers does. And that is very time consuming, which is, along with her personal safety, precisely why she does not go out at night, at least not alone.

I have seen a few of her interviews by other moto-journalists or podcasters, and she will admit - if you listen carefully to what she says - it can be a real grind.

Noraly deserves all the success she has found to date. Anyone who garners a following, or becomes popular or widely known, will also gather detractors. There are unhappy people in this world, who feel better by criticizing others. Many folks just resent the success of others, it's that simple, and it's always been this way.

Yeah. So, glad she didn't lose Frankie. That could have turned out differently.

Noraly has already been through Iran in Season 2. She regularly says that she is very aware of the risks and avoids areas where there is open conflict. We know she is headed for Japan so she is probably going to cross northern Iran to Turkmenistan just as she did in Season 2.

It sounds as though things turned out differently for the man who stole her bike:

Erbil police arrest man for stealing Dutch YouTuber’s motorcycle
Similar happened to the 2 cops someplace in Africa last season, or 2 seasons ago.

Wouldn't want to be any of those guys nabbed in those places. Could be rather unpleasant, but i don't know if Iraq will prosecute without formal charges. Wouldn't surprise me, though.

There's a public relations aspect to these events, and the ministers won't want their countries made to look bad, considering the high visibility and wildly popular YouTube sensation. Lots of folks watching these videos.

I doubt she will be able to travel in Turkmenistan. It is a relatively closed country, not unlike North Korea. We tried last year and no luck. She will probably head to Tajikistan.
