I think she depicts her journey rather honestly and doesn’t really edit any bad interactions out. She’s on roads where there’s nobody! Interacts with locals in a rural setting, where for the most part people are friendly. Accepts the accommodation for what it is in the location she’s in. It’s part of the journey, does it meet the basic requirements, bed, roof over my head and is the bike safe. It’s not “ Deliverance”
When I ride long distance in remote areas, I interact with a fuel attendant, waitress, shop clerk, hotel personnel these are people that aren’t going to give me trouble, the same with her.
She also tries to not to spend time in big cities. I believe the most trouble she has is at border crossings, navigating the paperwork, bureaucracy….she’s done that many a time and knows what to expect. For the most part, one is not to film at border crossings, we don’t get to witness it,only hear if it went smoothly or not.
The Darien Gap is tough, but she’s obviously managed it already because we’ve seen her last video that had to have been edited after she had done the long boat trip to Panama.
She’s a “What you see is what you get” person.
