Itchy Boots

As mentioned in her blog and in the video you can see the speedo, she hustles along at 110 km/h on the highway. She has made a very good choice for her on the size of bike for her adventure, navigating the wash out roads can be a challenge for many but she has it in hand.
I think we’ve been spoiled this week with the amount of content posted. Not complaining. ;)

+1 Chris, great choice.

On another topic, this video purports to put a value on her YouTube earnings.

Not sure how accurate it is but it is rather interesting.

Yeah, I watched that one. Don’t know how accurate that is, having heard Dave and Jason on their Blue Collar Logic YT channel talk about what they get for their individual videos, especially when they get a huge number of views on one only to find out it’s been “demonitized” and they don’t get a dime. Damn lefty censors!

Anyway, Ms Schoenmaker is worth every penny she gets from YT; she’s earned it! Read the comments section for this video... she has lots of support!

FWIW

I'm not going to watch that vid.

Zackly. She has some merchandise and it seems like she's going to expand her store but she doesn't hawk anything. She does list the different gear she uses but aside from the name on her jacket many viewers would have no idea what brands she uses. She's occasionally mentioned some party sponsoring her. But no hard sell no mugging for the cameras no goofy hats no crazy antics.

She's grown her channel by leaps and bounds on sheer personality and personability and interesting content. A travelog that's far more than a travelog because of the host.

However much she may make I'm not sure it's enough but I'm sure that's between her and her accountant. Regardless of her choice of ride— more power to her.

As a full-time online marketer / digital agency, I can state with assurance / authority that most have absolutely NO idea how to monetize a YouTube channel, much less how much YouTubers net. The compensation is atrociously abysmal, particularly in light of how Google benefits from the viewers.
And it's less about *one* video, than it is about consistently adding new content - which Noraly unquestionably does.
Same with Amazon, their payment schedule is draconian.
Add to all this, no one I know of actually has any insight into her personal finances or how much she saved while working for the mining and oil exploration companies.
Yes, there are certainly the rarefied few who actually can support a very good lifestyle strictly from YouTube / Google, but they are in the smallest of minorities considering how many are trying to break out. In that sense, YouTube channel hopefuls are much like struggling musicians. There are many who may be talented, but have not located or reached their target audience.
As do most here, I wish her all the best success; she certainly adds more value to my life than do the box-openers, hip-hop artists, gamers, and others making crazy amounts of money with their channels.

I see more and more channels promoting "Patreon" accounts as a means of getting revenue. At the moment she doesn't. I will continue to watch, and echo the comments on how she has enrich our lives with good quality content.

Iron horse? Not this time

... I removed the link to Noraly's newest video, since @kiltman already posted

However, I'll leave my link here.

Extra .... another horse vs iron horse video.
This is me, returning home from a ride ... one of our horses, Teddy, was up by the street near driveway entrance ...

I think he was a bit jealous, so wanted to show off his bucking skills (he's 26 years old!!)

I assume those are basically structured donation accounts and she stopped accepting viewer donations. So I hope she can continue without going Patreon but don't know how well selling merchandise will sustain her.

I've never had liver but somehow have learned to dislike it. As good as her chicken liver meal looked I'd pass just because– it's liver.

BEAUTIFUL country though. I think that's one of my favorite Noraly videos. The previous video caldercay posted was also very good.

She noted the pandemic's impact on tourism but still— just riding into Dodge hoping you can get a steak at Delmonico's or a bed at a hotel is just a little more wingin' it than I'm comfortable with. In more urban territory it's not a big deal. Season 5 is clearly her best yet.

Well... I was white knuckling just holding on to my tea mug! As she said... the GoPro flattens out the road.
I was gripping my iPad turning it and raising and lowering with every move she made. The view of the road in the distance and the switchbacks and grade were more evident as she descended down the pass. I could feel my own brakes locking up and skidding down the mountain....yikes

Wow, that was quite a ride... hard for me to watch in some spots. That’s got to be the worst “road” I’ve ever seen. And she didn’t fall even once, very impressive. I’m not sure I could have made it up/down that. She’s really becoming quite the rider.

As the wife and I were watching Noraly approach the summit, I commented,
"she's gotta go back down, which can be as challenging, if not more" : )
