Itchy Boots

The cheeky Ed March post was deemed too risqué for this site? That's a bad sign, in my opinion.

My wife and I watched Noraly's latest and we're then introduced to one of her previous videos ...

Really really really like this ... in one way, for me, this is true Noraly ... we see her interaction with others , even when she doesn't know the language : )

It's like a trip back in time ....

I often set the video up to run on the second screen. Even if I don't watch it, it helps her.

Oh my gosh! This video above is really good!

Her first season she was still learning editing and it was good but her last few seasons are much better. More informative about the areas and shr has much better voice over. I do love the drone shots she takes of the scenery .

Not only the moto-travelogues, but as a videographer, I concur -- the production quality is outSTANDING!
If you've never done this, it's tough to imagine the hours of painstaking, behind-the-scenes video and audio mixing and editing.
For a one-gal show, there's no better, from what I've seen. And that's a lot.

I enjoyed the first seasons so much I never really noticed how much she as improved until attention was called to it here. She really does make it look easy.

People share links to YT videos all the time but this is one that I never miss and subscribed to because of kiltman's recommendation. He did us a solid right there.

That's SIR William Wallace to you. ;)
Point taken, and no disrespect intended. And in fact, my understanding is, that Wallace was not "born into it", so he's a great patriot, in my book. Let's just say he was awarded The Presidential Medal of Freedom or the Congressional Gold Medal, in today's vernacular.
But, as an American, I'm genetically predisposed to genuinely bristle at the whole crown, royalty, "my breeding and lineage means I'm superior", monarchy kind of trip. Something many of our low-life legislators and would-be rulers today, have obviously lost sight of.
You can blame Jefferson, Washington, and a whole bunch of other old, white men. And some of color, to be sure, who fostered this entire silly, "all men are created equal" narrative.
Which I am totally sold out on, without apology.
So sue me. :rofl1:

"Due to the geopolitical and economical situation at the time Oh look at all the monkeys! Kids. Ok back to the story...". She makes me laugh. And when she was talking about the elevation... "GPS says 1645m elevation... Hence the clouds." Hence is one of my favorite words. These vids a so good.

Having been to South Africa twice and having lived in East and West Africa for a total of 6 years I can tell you the scenery is even more breath-taking in person. And the people are AMAZING. Unfortunately, I have never been aboard a moto in all the time I was there, so, like you, I am living vicariously through Noraly and she does SUCH a good job.

That's actually common over there. When I first went to Tanzania, there were advertisements for Coke everywhere. The reason is that unless it is bottled water, you'll get sick by drinking the tap water.

That's actually why in the Bible you see references to where they drink wine. It isn't that they are a bunch of drunkards...but that was pre-Coke safe drinking fluid. And the wine would be pretty sad stuff by our standards. Just enough fermentation I suppose to kill the germs, but not enough to do much else.

Each Christmas, my wife and I buy each other something from the World Vision catalog. I always ask for some kind of donation to provide clean water to a village somewhere.

Chris

When I lived there we had to boil the water to drink it and then it was stored in the fridge in used Waragi (Ugandan gin) bottles. On safari once my mom took the "water" bottle to brush her teeth and when she rinsed it tasted REALLY good..... because it was gin! LOL!

Thank you so much for your development gifts. They literally make a world of difference!
